KELP
Do any of you take Kelp supplements?
One of the personal trainers at my gym suggested I try it. My only concern is that I read it helped with the thyroid function. I am already on thyroid meds. Will it interfere with the meds? Why do YOU take it and how much do you take? THANKS! |

What you are actually taking is iodine, and iodine is required to make thyroid hormones, so if you are deficient in iodine, it would be helpful. There's more information here: Iodine for Health by Donald W. Miller, Jr., MD and here: OPTIMOX RESEARCH INFORMATION
David Brownstein MD, Guy Abraham, and Jorge Flechas MD are all proponents of iodine therapy on the web. |
