Organic strawberries
Hope this doesn’t offend anyone but it is just too good not to share.
We were at our granddaughter’s home yesterday and I was looking at her garden (of which she is very proud!) when I spotted some big, juicy strawberries. Of course, I had to taste them. I’m standing there with a big handful when I looked at her face. Such a weird expression! I thought she was saving them to freeze or something and asked. She said I could have all I wanted so she got me a container and I was just picking my little heart out. Two for the bag and one for me, 2 for the bag, one for me……She said “Uhm, Gram, maybe you want to pick from the middle of the patch “ I said, “no thanks, there might be some critters in there and there's lots of big ones on the edges”. She laughed and said, No, Gram, you REALLY should pick from the center of the patch – Phoenix (their dog) likes to pee on the outside plants”. A new natural liquid fertilizer? ![]() |
