Gaining!!

So, after two months of steady losses at apx 1.5 lb/week, I have suddenly begun to gain weight. 2 1/2 lbs since I last weighed myself 3 days ago. 😳

My TOM should start in about 5 days, is this gain likely related to that? Last month I only gained a pound and it happened the day right before my cycle started...

I've kept my carbs steady under 20 total for the last week or more, protein at exactly 68 gm, calories around 1150. My macros have included 68-72% fat each day. In other words, I haven't done anything differently. Haven't introduced any new foods.

Ideas? What could be causing this? How to get back on track??

Your small gain seems well within the range of water flux and you are carrying more water before your period. I'd say keep on plan and in a week you will be on your way again..

OMG I always gain about 3 lbs of water right before my TOM... and then somehow as soon as it is gone... woosh!

Exact same situation here - I went up almost 3 when I usually go up 1. Then it all dropped at once yesterday, mid-cycle.

Carry on - you're doing great! You'll be back on track when your body lets go of the water!

I have been having small gains right before my period too. I would guess it is water a fluctuation up to 4 lbs is pretty normal, even if it is annoying !
