Monday doctor tv show....

I didn't watch it because the man makes me really angry. Jimmy Moore did a nice break down of the show on F.B.. Made me wonder if anyone here watched the great Oz and Chris Kressor and what they thought overall.

It appears that paleo is now low fat/ moderate carbs and high protein! What a crock! Oh and that Atkins is some 'fad' diet. WTH!!??

Why do these people keep sticking their head in the sand and ignoring the facts?! I can't watch that crap because it infuriates me!

Same! I guess it should be considered entertainment and that it is but just too annoying for me!

I watched the first three seconds or so of the clip, with the two big blue blowup dolls and pretty much knew I wasn't going to be able to take it, so I didn't watch it.

The meals Nell Stepenson showed (salad and fruit for every meal) reminded me of Weight Watchers, all the way to the big hunk of chocolate cake.

It is sad. Now we will be hearing how people are doing paleo and not doing well!

Paleo is in the phase now where Atkins was a few years ago: trying to fit in with main stream thinking/acceptance. It will get worse before it gets better.

ETA: I think Stephan Guyenet is doing the whole LCboshpere a HUGE disservice with his semi-scientific ideas and bad research. His marketing is good and it affects good programs such as Paleo for example. I realise I'm opening myself up to a whole world of abuse by actually writing down my thoughts, but that man is a charlatan, just like dr Oz.

there was a day that I thought Guyenet had something valuable to offer with his 'brain/gut axis' work but then he just seemed or go off the rails entirely. Too bad.
