Won't you gain weight back after ending Fat Fast?

Once you add back in protein and vegetables, and up the calories, won't the weight come back on?
And I know you can lose a bunch of water weight in a couple of days, but how is it possible to lose fat so quickly?

If any of you have experience with this I would really appreciate your input.

It depends on how carbed up you are to start with, yes you will lose water weight, but if you are pretty much in ketosis, then your fat burning mechanism will kick in.
I lost 5lbs on it over a month ago, and it stayed off, mainly because I follow a lowcarb plan, between 1500-1800. I was desperate to see a downward movement on the scale, after maintaing well for about 3 months and it worked.

I'm now on day 4 of another FF this month, and can't wait to see my progress on the scales on Sat.

For me it's a tool, to really reign myself in, I love the appetite suppression and it sets me up to follow lc with absolutely no cravings.

Cant' wait to eat a big ass salad or roast and veggies on Saturday

thanks that was helpful, I've already got the initial water out of my system so I'm thinking anything I lose wouldn't be water.
Would I really not be hungry with just eating macadamia nuts all day?

I have never regained what I lost on a Fat fast except if I cheat and binge on high carb foods.I go from fat fast to a low carb high fat MODERATE protein after that.

The fat fast is designed to push a person into ketosis. The weight lost during this process is mostly fluids. If a person goes out of ketosis by eating too much protein and carbs, the fluids will return.

Losing lbs. of body fat takes longer than a couple of days.

Even macadamia nuts are high in carbs if you eat a lot of them. I don't know about anybody else, but nuts of any kind never fill me up. I would eat cream cheese or something like that.

I am a nut-o-holic and the only ones that don't make me 'hungry' are mac nuts. Maybe it is the very high fat content?

Fat fasting requires a maximum of 1000 calories and that would translate into 5 ounces of mac nuts per day and nothing more. I am not sure that is doable?

1 oz of mac nuts is about 14 nuts, I baggy mine up by the oz portions, otherwise I have no portion control.
I did only mac nuts on Friday, so yes it is doable, it wasn't intentional as I was running around all day and no time to fix anything else and that was all I had with me. I meant to fix something when I got home at 8pm, but just wasn't hungry so never bothered, I wouldn't use it as my main source of nutrition on a regular basis, but they are good for a feed in a pinch.
