Nausea and Not Hungry?!
Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. It looks great!

I have been in nutritional ketosis for about 6 weeks now. I slipped in easily due to my previous relatively low-carb diet.

The first 2 weeks I felt fantastic! Then the third week I removed dairy as I wanted to see if this diet can be done dairy-free. Since then it's been quite challenging. At first it was ok, then I realized I was having more carb cravings. Then I noticed chronic nausea. Also, I have the racing heart thing. Then I decided to add dairy back in and now feel worse!

Anyway, this journey has been weird with various strange ailments cropping up and then disappearing. Now I have pretty bad nausea and I am NEVER hungry!

Anyone else experience this? I don't have the urge to eat carbs at all (except veggies) but I'm wondering if my body doesn't like this diet for some reason. I LOVE the concept and actually use the diet very successfully with clients. But ugh....
Any feedback?

It took awhile for me to adjust, and though I'm nicely keto-adapted at this point I still have digestive issues I can't figure out.

What exactly are you eating? Maybe post a few daily menus and we can see something you don't see.

Are you getting enough sodium? You should be eating 3,000 - 5,000 mg/day. What about magnesium and potassium?

Sounds as if you are needing to replace your electrolytes. Try some regular sodium chicken broth. At least 2 cups per day. Let us know how you do.
