Weighed myself this morning and I'm a little up from my last weigh in.

Day 2: 173.7 (-1.1)
Day 3: 171.3 (-3.5)

Started with mayo and eggs this morning, then going to do HWC, sour cream, HWC, cream cheese/peanut butter

I've never understood how much carbs affect my body...I've done everything to bring my weight down and it's the only thing that works...I feel really groggy and heavy today...

Planning to start another 3 day FF tomorrow. I like the 3 day FF, 3 day modified FF, repeat Idea. I may do that, too.

Love hearing great ideas here to mix up my plan and menu.

Yes I have done that and it works for me.Some days I just cannot do fat fast esp if there is something important happening like a meeting, along drive, anything.then modified FF works better and is easier.

I am also planning on a fat fast mixed with a IF or BPC IF .I have never tried that before.

How do you all classify a modified fat fast?

I also noticed, that all you gals are at roughly the same weight, with the same goals and all so close to it.
It'll be interesting to see, how it all comes off

The last stone is alway the biggest hurdle
17lb to goal and I want to shed at least 10 of those this year

Day 3 FF today, so far so good
Planning on going for a Cross Country Walk with a bunch of friends tomorrow and there's a PUB involved , so I'm 'building' a Pint of my fav ale into the menu tomorrow

We are on the very same wave length here!

I need a little shake up in my routine after being sick, taking antibiotics, and having higher carb for about 10 days. I've been back in NK for 8 days. Things are going well, but I'm feeling hungry each day, which was not the case for me in the first 6 months NK.

So, Lowcarbella, I'm following your lead with the 3 and 3. I will get the higher calories from protein on the alternate days, otherwise I get bad leg cramps.

Suzanne, great point about some of us with similar weights and goals. It will be fun to inspire one another.

Tom came yesterday, earlier.so I slightly changed my plans.Today is again a MFF and I will continue that till weekend is over. Then Monday plan on FF for 3 days.I might even do an IF somewhere there.
My first goal is to see beyond 180.
Second goal is to reach 178.
By end of next week slide into NK.It is hard to do a Fat Fast on Tom,but I can't believe how far I have come on my LC WOE.
before you would find me eating platefuls of cheesecake and 'balanced diets' with lots of whole grain breads and stuff, bcoz I thought I needed them during TOM,and kept wondering why I feel so awful.

It is nice to have some accountability here.I have about 34 lbs to go.But I look at it 5lbs a time.

The MFF info can be found here:
the one with 1200 calories.I noticed that I forgot put the name Modified FF there

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do a fat fast today. I am going away for the weekend, and need to get a jump on things before I go, because it is very hard not to overeat when I am with my ill sister.

Today, I am eating:

1 cup of Bulletproof Chai
4 fat bombs
2 Tbs. salted butter

I am eating every 2.5 hours until 8:00 tonight. My total for the day is:

1011 calories
106.6g fat (95%)
6.2g protein
6.8g total carbs (not net)

I had a ribeye with some of the cheese spread melted on it, last night for dinner, here I am 17 hours later, and not a shred of hunger

I may have another one today.

Suzanne do you mean you had dinner and then ate nothing until now, like an IF.Just curious about the appetite suppression.

Rebecca,do you buy the Bulletproof coffee from their website. Is is as good as they claim?I am double-minded on buying it or using my regular coffee for a Bulletproof IF next week.

I actually drink "Bulletproof" chai, not coffee, because I don't like coffee. I use caffeinated chai that I bought at Teavana. At first, I was using plain old organic, salted butter, but I broke down and bought a half of a pound of Kerrygold unsalted and now I am using that.

I use Now brand MCT oil, not the pharmaceutical grade that Dave recommends.

I also add some vanilla liquid Stevia, because if it is not just a little sweet, it tastes bland to me.

The other thing that I do that is that the recipe calls for 16 oz of coffee with 2 Tbs. butter and 1-2 Tbs. MCT oil. I use 8 oz. only along with the fat. When I made it the first time, it was bland and watery.

I understand that the reason Dave says to use his coffee is that over 90% of all other coffees contain mold. This is problematic, evidently.

My plan changed just a little today, but here is what I ate:

5:45am - Bulletproof Chai and cod liver oil (not mixed together!)
7:30am - Fat Bomb
10:00am - Fat Bomb
12:30pm - 1 Tbs. butter
3:00pm - Fat Bomb
5:15pm - Shiratake noodles with cream cheese and sea salt
7:30pm - 1/2 recipe Chocolate Almond Pudding (from Fat Fast Cookbook)

1036 calories
106.3g fat (92.4%)
9.7g protein
10g total carbs (not net)

No real hunger to speak of, but I did (emotionally) want to eat more. And, as it turns out, tomorrow at noon I am meeting my sister (Alzheimer's) at the halfway point between our houses and driving her to my house for the next few days. So that means that I will have TOTAL control over what I am eating, which will be a relief. I've done so well this past week, it was upsetting to think that it was going to be all for nothing after spending a few days not being in control of my food, and being tempted by lots of candy and other carbs.

Yes lowcarbella, I ate the steak around 7pm, and I think it was 12 noon when I posted. Not an intentional IF, but that is the way I usually eat, in that I don't eat until about 1pm. Today I didn't eat until after 2pm, so that was, what 19 hours, because I didn't feel any hunger. It was for sure the protein, because just on high fat, I get the tummy rumbles at night, after my last meal.

I found these parmesan chips in Walmart, they are nothing but Parmesan cheese, and I use them when I need a Cracker type thing. The packet calls them the crisp made entirely of cheese. The even have different flavors. I do not know if I can give the brand name here? but I would think they would be great with some Guacamole! If you want to find info you might google "a pleasantly different gluten-free cracker"
I make my own. I put approximately a tsp of digiorno shredded parm in each hole of a silicone mini pan. Nuke for 1-1.5 mins. Yum. I add italian herbs, cracked pepper and the like.

Lowcarbellla, weightloss looks good, I like your plan, too.

Rebecca, glad its working out that your sister is coming home with you.

Suzanne, ribeye with cheese spread? Sounds delic, and I love the fullness you got from it.

Thanks. I am a little nervous about how she will act here, but we'll deal with it no matter what.

And, on the topic of this post, I did my fat fast yesterday and lost 1.2 pounds.

As of today, I only need to lose 4.2 pounds of body fat and gain 2.4 pounds of muscle to reach my goal.

Anyway yesterday I did overeat some cashews.Today will be in strict modified FF.Really wanting to do an IF at this point since I have no appetite which is a good thing. But I will wait till Monday.

Rebecca thanks for the info and Congrats on getting close to your goal.

I would love to have the appetite suppression you got,Suzanne, but I am not there yet.

Its more psychological too,for me,I miss food if I don't eat at the usual times.

I'm baaaaack...

Greetings, fellow FF'ers:

After a brief hiatus from NK and a weight gain, I am back to try this again. I thought I could handle a few carbs but I lost total control. I swear I am an addict when it comes to carbs (especially sugar). Started a 7 day fat fast today, and plan to do NK on the weekends with a little higher protein ratio, more of an Atkins Induction style, and weekdays will be FF for a few weeks to get me back on track!

11/2 weight: 179

11/2 menu: 6T HWC w/coffee, 1c romaine hearts w/1T ken's buttermilk ranch dressing, 1 Oscar mayer beef hot dog, 1/2T low carb ketchup, 65grams of sirloin tip roast browned in 1t butter, 3T pimento cheese, 6T sour cream sweetened with stevia.

1068 calories
101 grams fat
35 grams protein
9 grams carbs

Feeling good already!! Sure feels great coming out of my sugar coma!

I hope someone will join me this week!!

I was so glad to read your post. After 6 months NK I went out of bounds, then stumbled a little further. I need to get it together and get back on track. I'm glad to see that you did, and that you're feeling better already. I'm getting back n the game tomorrow, but not weighing for the first wek or so. I'll just check ketones about 3 days in.

Will look forward to your postings, Colamalu. Best of luck!
