Yesterday was my first day back after FF. I stuck with FF feeds during the day, then had 1/2 lamb chop with buttery cabbage for dinner. Cals 1100 with high fat, vlc, slightly increased protein.
Today induction style breakfast, 2 very small feeds, salad with chilli oil and 1/2 lamb chop for dinner. 1380 cals with high fat, LC, moderate protein.
I won't weigh in til next week

Good Morning,

I am feeling so great today!! I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Day 3 went on without a hitch!

big breakfast day, I made the ham and cheese cups from Dana's Fat Fast cook book, adding spinach and roasted red peppers YUM

coffee w/ hwc
ham, spinach, and egg cup
bouillon w/ cream cheese
fried pork and chicken w/ butter

cal 1130 (a little high)

80%F/18%P/2%C

I am down by a total of 6.2 this morning

I know it is a lot of water weight caused by my weekend binge but heck I will take it. Plan on eating this way till Friday, then moving up the calories to about 1200 not to exceed 1350 keeping fat at between 75% to 80%.
What are the plans of all you other Fat Fasters to move on??

chrisgil10 wow, that's a great loss well done you.

So was that the end of day 3?

I'm planning on the same game plan as you, keeping at between 1200 -1400, high fat, but upping the protein.

I went out for Mexican and had carne asada and guacamole, not one chip passed my lips I did have a couple of margeritas, which I know will halt any weight loss, but it was a celebration with friends, head hurts this morning, but worth it, once in a while

I also got my monthly a whole 10 days early, which is very strange, with no pms symptoms at all (sorry if TMI). Not sure if it's because of my diet change, but I've always been the moodiest witch ever before hand

Had a quick question. Is there a book I can read so I can do the FF correctly? or a chapter in a book? From what I understand its 5 meals (approx. 200 calories each). Aim for 90% fat.

There is a book out called "Fat Fast Cookbook" that teaches how to do it plus has a lot of good, fatty recipes. You can find it on Amazon as an ebook or a paperback. The first part is written by Jimmy Moore and explains fat fasts and nutritional ketosis.

Disclaimer: I am one of the authors.

You can also find the original version of the fat fast in Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution.

BUT... You don't necessarily need a book. What you said is totally correct. You want 1000 calories per day including 100 grams of fat.

When I do the fat fast, I do it a little differently: Instead of 5 meals of 200 calories each, I do more meals with less fat in each so I don't have to wait as long in between "feedings".

chrisgil10 congrats on the weight loss! that is awesome.

and suzannem major kudos for passing on the chips - i LOVE chips and guacamole so much!! that would have been really tough. other than pork rinds, is there such a thing as a low carb substitute for tortilla chips?

day 4 went pretty well - i think i went over 1000 calories by a little bit, but i also ran 4 miles this morning so hopefully it balances out

i am going to do one more day of the FF tomorrow and then increase my calories and protein (like suzannem). i am a little worried because i will be going to visit my family for a couple days starting on monday, and it is always so much harder to stay on track when i am around other people! i don't really feel like explaining the diet, so i guess i will just have to be sneaky about not eating much, haha.

I knew I saw it somewhere. I own DANDR so I'll reread the FF portion (haven't read it in a while). And I'll purchase the cookbook tonight, that way I can make a shopping list and go shopping tomorrow. Thank you for your replies.

Sandykim thank you! Glad things are going well for you too!
I found these parmesan chips in Walmart, they are nothing but Parmesan cheese, and I use them when I need a Cracker type thing. The packet calls them the crisp made entirely of cheese. The even have different flavors. I do not know if I can give the brand name here? but I would think they would be great with some Guacamole! If you want to find info you might google "a pleasantly different gluten-free cracker"

Hiya ! Just checking in with all you post Fat Fasters

I've maintained my 5 lbs loss from the FF, and have had a good solid 5 days on plan per week, with a couple of easing up days, mainly social stuff, couple of drinks here and there.

So happy I lost my fatty bloat, going very low carb, now on to chase those elusive last 10 lbs.

check in with what's going on with you?

I was a bit cranky, but had really low energy the first couple of days, but power through, it's worth it to get to the other side. Day 4 I felt really good.

I noticed that after my second meal, my fat % for the day dropped below 90...is this okay?

Meal 2 - Pork rinds with full fat sour cream

200 calories

For the day: 86% Fat, 10% Protein, 4% Carbs

86% is still good, but you want to really try to keep it up closer to 90%.

I had a couple of days without tracking anything over the weekend, but stuck to acceptable foods
Weigh Day on Thursday
Planning another FF by the end of the month. Possibly a 5-dayer

Ended my 1st day at 1040 calories (I know a little over - BUT the overage came from my vitamin/supplements for the day).

89% Fat (I really tried making this 90%)/5% Carbs/6% Protein

I did get hungry throughout the day. More towards the evening and even while I'm typing this now. I think I need to spread out my meals more. Instead of having them every 2 hours, I think I'm going to try eating every 2.5 - 3 hours. I did become a little agitated, I think it's because it was the first time in a while I actually felt hungry. This definitely feels like a fast even though I'm allow to eat a little.

I'm not a great breakfast eater, so when I have my next FF at the end of the month, I'm planning on having my first feed closer to lunch time. That way I can space the rest of the feeds into the evening

I will be starting a fat fast today.
Last few weeks were pretty rough for me,first with a tummy bug, then kids falling sick, then it was my b'day.I was LCing the whole time except for the b'day cake slice, but staying at the same weight for soo long has demotivated me.not to mention the cravings.
I am at 186.4 as of this morning.my lowest was 181.8 last month. So I want to get out of 180s for good.I am planning to do 3 day fat fast,3 day modified fat fast,3 day fat fast and so on for about 10 days.I find that alternating them keeps my hunger out of bay.and I am not knocked out of ketosis.I will end with sliding into NK or LCHF on a weekend.
Also haven't exercised at all after tummy bug.day 1 of back to workout routine for me.
Day 1:186.4
Day 2:

Well done jephersen Doesn't it get easier as the days go by?

I'm actually on day 3 of modified fat fast, as in more protein and up to 1200 cals. I like eating like this and I have busy work weeks, where I'm driving around town a lot, and it's so easy to pop in my 200 cal feeds, while I'm on the go.

I made an excellent dinner last night, of a heap of mushrooms, sauteed in that Rondele, peppercorn and parmesan cheese spread stuff. so good, and and a new one to add in to my rotation.

It gets easier and easier. Except yesterday I had a slight mental breakdown. Today, feels a lot better. Not too hungry...and feel a bit more awake and alert. I've been waking up before my alarm goes off these past couple days...

I wanted to ask, where can I get this "parmesan cheese spread" stuff...did you make it or is it store bought?

I was looking for the Boursin cheese spread/dip, but came across a big tub of the Rondele, in a ton of flavors. It's in the refrigerated specialty cheese section, by the deli. So good, it's 70 cals for 2 tbs, so good bang for you buck, I forgot to look at the fat content though?
I'm looking forward to putting in on celery sticks too.

Sautéed mushrooms sound sooooooo delicious. I might have to do that for dinner tonight...I've been keeping my meals simple as I am commuting about 1.5 hours each way for work, so it's been really difficult to make something delicious...I've been living on HWC, cream cheese, sour cream, pork rinds, and peanut butter. I've treated myself to a mini 0 calorie/carb/fat/protein pickle once a day. haha...
