Not enough protein but I slept in and I'm not hungry. May add something between the artichoke and wings, though, like Greek yogurt with added fat.

Question. Sometimes i don't get enough protein and my fat percentage in my diet is high and my carbs low.... more like the fat fast. I see on allot of these menus, others tend to do the same... in my mind, the difference between fat fast or lchf and nk is basically that nk recognizes and somewhat focuses on moderate protein. It should not be too high nor too low. Low carb high fat and fat fast don't focus on protein really. Fat fast is low protein if you stick with no more than 1200cal a day. Thoughts?

I'm not familiar with the specifics of LCHF, per se as a formal eating plan - I guess I had sort of lumped it in with Nutritional ketosis, but maybe that is because of my late entry into this forum (March of this year, I think).

During my fat fasts, which usually occur a few times a month, I did notice when using my food tracker that my fat and carbs were fairly close to regular NK (derived from "keto ankerl" calculator), but the difference being the protein. That was actually surprising.

I considered a fat fast to be 90% fat and 1000 calories a day, which allows for a total of 25 grams protein and carb combined (assumption: 10% of 1000 calories = 100 calories and divided by 4 calories per gram = 25 grams. That said, I have heard there is a modified fat fast (up to 1200 calories) which reportedly can be done for longer periods.

I've had great success with the 1200 calorie fat fast, as I am leaner and younger with no health nor metabolic issues. I still get nauseous if I go on with it too long, but this seems to be a ketosis side effect only.

I usually end up with 10-15 g carbs and 10-30 protein, and it still sends me into super ketosis as long as my percents rack up right.

Today my stomach hurts from overoing yesterday.

for breakfast I had a BPC with 1 tbsp coconut oil and 2 tbsp coconut cream, and some bits of solidified coconut oil / peanut butter shell from my candies I made last night after breaking them apart.

brought miracle fettucini, cream sauce, deviled egg yolks, liver, butter, heavy cream, and cheese chips with guacamayo to work so I have my choice of fat fast meals over the next couple of days.

there really is no "right" way to post your menu... as long as you are posting what you are eating (and not going way off topic) I don't think anyone will complain
