I can't wait to try some of those recipes! I love my FF cookbook. They're so simple. Gonna try the jalapeno poppers soon.

B: altered french vanilla iced coffee from FF Cookbook (only had 1/4 cup of coconut milk left, so I added 1 tbsp of coconut oil and used more coffee)
post workout: 2 oz ribs with a lot of mayo bbq sauce.

probably a couple tsps of pate from licking the spatula.

So far, not hungry.

Just found this board! I have been following a keto lifestyle for a week. At first I felt terrible... GI issues, I attribute it to coconut oil. I'm feeling better now. The only real issue is I'm often not hungry, once I start eating all is well.

Bpc made with organic coffee, unsalted butter and coconut oil
Eggs with jalape˝os and 3 sausages ( 1gm Carb)
Chipotle steak salad with cheese and guac, unsweetened tea (17gm Carbs)
Mashed cauliflower, chicken and asparagus wrapped in bacon (8gm carbs)

The chipotle salad was a lot higher carb count than I thought, but it was delicious

Emita-ILOVE that cookbook! It's probably my all time favorite low carb cookbook to date, IMHO. The Boursin mushrooms are to die for!! I made the fettuccine Alfredo today and didn't have any of the cream cheese so I used Boursin cheese. It changed the calories and such but it was so delicious! I could literally eat from this cookbook every day and be content. Oh yes, the curried pecans....out of this world! Yummy.

sbarr-if you like fat fasts, you should get the fat fast cookbook. You won't be sorry!

Today's menu:
Yogurt parfait
Garlic creamed mushrooms
Fettuccine Alfredo
Curried pecans
Pumpkin cheesecake

breakfast: iced caramel coffee ( cup of coffee, 1/4 cup davinci caramel, 1/2 tsp xanthan gum, 1/4 cup HWC, two ice cubes)

lunch: jen's jiffy creamy blueberry cheesecake. I added gelatin so it came out like pannacotta. too sour-cream-y for me, but great with xylitol honey.

dinner: miracle rice risotto. melted about 2T salted butter. added pepper, thyme, parsely, chives, some fennel seeds, 1 clove of minced garlic, some shredded broccoli floret, 1/2 oz of finely diced vidalia, and 1 oz of cooked & crumbled italian sausage. cooked on low til onions were soft.

Then added 2/3 cup of HWC and 2/3 oz of cream cheese. melted and combined til smooth, added 2 T parmesan and mixed in finely diced cooked mushrooms and miracle rice. Stir, serve! <3

had a salted caramel cream cheese cloud for dessert.

I HIGHLY reccomend the fat fast cookbook, it's very detailed and has a great foreword explaining ketosis, the fat fast process, and great ideas. The recipes are 3-6 ingredients and super simple. I love how they're all 1-6 servings so that it's ideal for a single person or if you're the only NK'er in your family.

I'm inspired to look at more of dana carpenter's cookbooks now! only $8.50 on amazon.

Funny thing - someone could easily interpret our menus as being quite radical and depriving when in fact, it's just the opposite - because of these diets, we are basically satisfied with lesser amounts because of the ketosis.

I am so use to eating this way that I don't see it as anything but normal.

I did not follow my plan .... I found myself hungry mid afternoon and ate smoked oysters on pork rinds. For dinner, I used f.f. recipe for Asian noodles, adding a bit of cooked chicken. That was very good!
