Br- smoothie with coconut milk, 1/2 avocado, spinach, stevia, vanilla and cinnamon on the train
At work - tea with 1 TB CO and 1TB HWC, 2 stevia, 2 HB eggs with 1.5 TB butter

breakfast for the last few days has been 1/2 a banger sausage (probably has some starch filler... remembered to take starch neutralizer 2/3 times beforehand), an over easy egg, and sauteed mushrooms and vidalia onion. veeeeery satisfying!

morning snack: coffee with heavy cream, 2/3 oz peanuts.

lunch: 2 medium chicken wings cooked in butter & frank's wing sauce. ~3oz celery and 1 serving simply marzetti blue cheese dressing (best salad dressings are these and marie's!)

so full. hiking after work and dinner out, so who knows. had a solid but reasonable calorie and carb deficit all week, plus not going over protein. feeling good!

might sneak some of my caramel peanut butter fat bombs... :3

I'm on a Shirataki kick right now.

I am currently fat fasting and my latest (and delicious) recipe was:

1 T. butter
2 T. cream cheese
2 T. parmesan
1 oz. mushrooms
1 package Shirataki

253 calories
3 carbs
25 fat
7 protein

End result: 85% fat - I offset the lower fat with my BPC at breakfast, but this was quite satisfying and would make an easy regular NK meal by adding some protein.

@sbarr: yay! I dunno what people have against shirataki. I really don't find it fishy at all, only the tiniest bit right out of the package. How did you incorporate the cream cheese for your above recipe?

I made pork fly lice with my miracle rice the other night

breakfast: 1/2 banger sausage, 1 oz fried tomato, 2/3 oz vidalia onion sauteed, 1 scrambled egg with some fresh dill thrown in.
snack: heavy cream in coffee
lunch: 2 smaller baby back ribs with blended guy's barbeque sausce (+unsweetened ketchup, some mayo, water, and worchestershire, it;s too strong and sweet straight..) whole cup of homemade coleslaw (red + green cabbage only)

dinner: either catered post-sailing dinner or if that's a carbfest, my backup plan is some cajun chicken, more sauteed onion, and bacon I packed ahead of time.

Emita - I find it helpful to rinse and then cook as long as possible - and in a cream sauce, it holds very well.

I've even gotten my 6 yo daughter to eat it - we make a Thai red curry soup with chicken and shirataki (and throwing in extra veggies like asparagus - I still can't figure out how this kid will eat asparagus but will eat very few other veggies)

I'll try the fried rice - good idea, betcha little miss will eat it

Thanks! do you melt the cream cheese first, or blend it all?

I had some pork tenderloin leftover, and it was really too lean for me... so that's where I got the idea. gently browned some garlic and onion, and tossed in some broccoli florets. soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, cayenne... and of course eggs at the end!

I pan dry the noodles in a saucepan, then add everything else at the same time to the noodles in the hot saucepan and stir on low until everything is melted and mixed.

I need to get the rice shirataki - I suspect there's even less of the usual crunch/texture that tolerate (?) with the noodles.

the shirataki rice is basically like big tapioca pearls to me - tastes just like bubble tea bubbles. It's actually quite soft.

Ugh. had a bad time last night with "friends". not the good influence type. ate way too much cheese then way too much peanut butter at home.

Doing a pure protein/fat day ( I don't feel like doing a full fat fast..what would I have for dinner?? )

so far
breakfast BPC
snack: 1 tbsp "caramel crackerjack" (butter, swerve, heavy cream) pecan, pork rind, and peanut bits.
lunch ~65g chicken thigh (skinless) and slice of thick cut bacon, 1/2 cup homemade cole slaw, some guy's bbq sauce mayo'd down.

Thinking of making a butter dill sauce for some salmon for dinner, a couple asparagus spears. This would leave me at
~900 cal, 73g fat, 8 carbs - 3 fiber = 5 net, 58g protein. (estimate) might throw an egg into my butter dill sauce or soft boil it on top of my salmon... hm

I just had another BPC and finally my brain fog lifted. Last night was 150g protein, 40carb - 10 fiber... probably 80-100g carbs after all that excess protein got converted T_T I feel horrendous today, but slowly normalizing on a high fat, low protein day.

Good Afternoon all

Let's see....I snacked on some bacon this morning, and 2 chicken wings from the chicken I cooked for dinner.

Then this afternoon, I made chicken and leek stew with carrots (LC) and then added the dumplings I saw on another post on this website. OMG they went over so well We are well and truly stuffed! And it was pretty good carbwise....the dumplings were like 1 carb each and the stew was 13 net carbs. So I was well within my limit My husband was thrilled with them...he has been dying for this dish for some time now and he said the dumplings were even better than how I normally make them. Woot!!

For later, we will have strawberries with some whipped cream.

So glad Father's Day is winding down, family dinner at my house and I stayed well with in my macros! Yay! For the family I made deep dish pizza. potato salad and pie w/whipping cream. On the side for me I made pizza bites (satisfying eats) along with a scoop in Kimchi and whipping cream for desert for me. Felt like I was eating just like everyone else and that can be tricky with family dinners but much easier to control when it is at your house.

Mexican for father's day yesterday! So much bathroom, but so worth it. I am guessing it was pretty low carb, too. Got a molcajete with grilled chicken, shrimp, cactus, top round, and sirloin, with some cheese and avocado on top, in a red pepper sauce (looked like sofrito). Shared a few spoonfuls of ceviche.

today breakfast BPC to help my gut recover.
lunch... craved protein by then. Ordered a bunless burger from a place that delivers. came with grilled veggies! Half was delectable with lots of mayo. *happy*

I made a shamrock shake ala maria emmerich with fresh mint, vanilla whey, coconut milk, cream cheese, and avocado. took half of it with me in case I go hiking tonight

The pork fried rice sounds great with the leftover pork I'll have after today! yum thanks Emita!!

B: bacon, coffee/HWC
S: ice coffee/HWC/splenda/splash of imitation vanilla
L: Tuna salad(homemade), bbq pork rinds

D: Roast pork cooked with spices below, green beans &
sauerkraut(weird craving...)
S: Sara's recipe for cheese cake....yum! thanks Sara!

I have a George Foreman rotisserie and love everything I cook in it. This recipe makes any meat juicy and skin crispy. I sprinkle the spices on and let the rotisserie do the rest...
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons paprika
olive oil

if you're doing atkins style induction (starting) no fruit for 2 weeks, and no yogurt. The amounts are pretty minimal, but to jump start ketosis/weight loss, you want to reduce fructose to 0

Not sure about others, but here is what I do (it's very flexible and you can work with what you have in the house and how much fat, carbs, protein you want). I have probably made it 7 or 8 different times with variations. Note - all of these recipes are very general so you can make according to your preference. They're very easy.

1 cauliflower, cut into small pieces - I like it smaller than what you can easily break up (I think it forces me to eat a bit slower)
1/4-1/2 c. HWC - optional
4-6 oz cream cheese - optional
4-8 oz. cheese
8-16 oz. ham or kielbasa or bacon (you could probably use chicken)
Salt, pepper, garlic to taste

Steam cauliflower until barely tender, blend/mix HWC, cream cheese, cheese. Add steamed cauliflower and meat to baking dish and stir around a little so meat is distributed. Pour HWC mixture over and bake 350 for 30 minutes.

Another version - with pesto (cold dish)

1 cauliflower, cut into small pieces
1 c. pesto sauce
1/4-1/2 c. mayo
8-16 oz. ham or kielbasa or bacon (optional)
1/2 oz. thinly sliced onion (optional)

Steam cauliflower until barely tender, mix pesto and mayo and cauliflower in a bowl (also add meat if in recipe). You can also sprinkle parmesan over the dish.

Next I am going to try a variation of buffalo chicken cauliflower - my idea:

1 cauliflower, cut into small pieces
8-16 oz. chicken, shredded
1-2 c. buffalo sauce (until everything is coated)

Steam cauliflower until barely tender. Mix cauliflower, chicken and buffalo sauce and then put grated cheese on top and cook at 350 for 30 minutes.
