One week of NK. Gained 5 pounds.
I'm new at this and I need to get better at figuring out meals. Mistakes - too much protein. Too much food. I'm hungry a lot. I'm sure after a while I'll actually get to ketosis and the hunger will let up.

I've read a zillion keto websites and I'm confused. You guys are great, though, awesome!

I'll figurework out something eventually.
I'm sleeping well - too well - waking up late. I like to measure my BS first thing in the AM but I'm sleeping till noon. Oops.
I've had a couple of happy days - I want more!
Coffee & cream has been a meal several times. Fills me up really well.
No Atkins flu, thank goodness.
On to Week 2 Today, day one.
Breakfast - leftover steak, eggs, spinach and butter/olive oil
Lunch - coffee
Dinner - hamburger, cheese & egg.
Someday I'll figure out if that's a good amount of carb, protein and fat - and also I'll figure out what the optimum amounts are for me.
When I get hungry I come here and read all the keto recipes. Yummm.
I've gained too - would love insight
It is really important to give the amounts of the foods in order to give any advice. How much steak and spinach? How big a burger and what if any condiments? As the say, the devil is in the details!
It is pretty hard to gain 5 pounds of fat in a week, unless you stuffed yourself with carbs. I am sure that your weight gain was only water. If you eat very low carb with moderate protein, you will lose the weight. Sometimes it takes a while to tweak your diet so that it works for you. Everyone is an individual.
