It could still be water retention Kathy. Is it hot where you are? I find I retain water when it is hot and/or humid.

I'd wait a few days before I'd panic if I were you. I bet it's water.

Stress makes me bloat like crazy too Hot and humid temps and stress, besides hormones, which usually do a number on me every month (not this one though)

Passed up the my favorite cake in the entire world yesterday when the family was here, no potato salad, no baked beans, "nuttin honey" . Ahh well, nuff whining and on with today which will be

Breakfast:Coffee with 2 ounces HWC
Lunch: Root Beer Float with HWC and 1 ounce mixed nuts
Dinner: Left over roast beef, cauliflower salad, green beans.
I usually cut out a couple of things if my weight goes up. I am post menopausal also, but sometimes my weight goes up for no reason. The first thing that I would leave out until my weight goes down is nuts. In fact, I had to give them up because I could not lose weight when eating as little as an oz a day. The next thing would be the root beer. Just until you lose again. Too many vegetables in one meal will also make me gain. I hope this helps a little. I am sure that you will lose it again quickly.

Thanks Carolyn, I did change the day around and there were no nuts. I agree they can be deadly, even when I measure out my 1 oz. Diet root beer? You would give that up? And too many veggies sometimes does that to me too. Thanks for all you thoughts- we'll hope for a better day tomorrow! Kathy

My weight fluctuates all the time. I don't pay it any mind, as my overall trajectory is downward. Even when my weight stays within the same few pounds for a while, I'm losing inches.

Not to mention, there are so many factors that go into what the scale shows. Article: Why the Scale Lies

This is my daily weight graph, so you can see what I mean. I have not changed how I eat this entire time. I even often eat the same exact foods for several days in a row, and my weight fluctuates. No biggie, IMO.

Thanks Ntombi! I'll check out your link about scales that lie! :-) We have a Bichon also- he is our third in the past 18 years and he is 8 months old!

He does! When he first came home, he was an adult, but completely untrained. He didn't know how to sit, wait, walk on a leash, I mean he knew nothing! But every time he wanted something, he'd go up on his back legs and dance. So I used that to train him for everything else. Before he ate, he had to dance. Before he got a treat, dance, and he learned everything else over time. But he still dances at every opportunity. The neighborhood kids love it!

He's my sweetie. I love Bichons, and he has the quintessential Bichon personality.

I'll join in....I love seeing what others are eating and it DOES give one ideas! I'm pretty boring and have to be very careful of nut flours because they knock me out of ketosis.

Yesterday:

BPC = 2 cups (w/butter, coconut oil, and MCT oil w/ a splash of HWC)
1 hardboiled egg
2 sausage links
1 avocado w/sourcream and seasonings
2 sticks celery
1 cup homemade bone broth w/butter

Today so far:

BPC = 2 cups
1 egg
2 sausage links

Will probably have salmon and broccoli for lunch.

I'll also probably eat a lot more today--I tend to naturally vary with one day low calorie/low protein and the next day higher calorie and a bit more protein.

Has anyone tried using the focaccia bread recipe to make a pizza? I keep thinking about doing that as a weekly "treat," using an alfredo sauce, chicken, and fresh basil and tomatoes.

I guess instead of all my whining I should continue posting my meals, right?

I have changed them about 5 times today, but essentially-

B-High fat shake 2 cups coffee with 2 t HWC
L- Almond muffin with 1 tsp butter 10 almonds
D- Salmon and salad
S- Diet Jello, 1 ounce HWC

This comes out to 1,246 Cal

103.5 G fat
16.3 G carbs
36.3 G Protein

Leftover oyster dip mixed with some egg salad

Too many sweeteners can do that to me. I cannot have nutrasweet anyway, because I get migraines from it. I never have any sweetener after 6 pm. I usually only drink water or maybe some herb tea. Also eating too much protein during the day can make my weight go up. I eat just the bare amount that I need. This is really a science experiment.
Carolyn

This is what I ate today:
Breakfast: 2 pieces of thick bacon
2 scrambled eggs cooked in bacon fat
2 cups coffee with heavy cream
Snack: 1 oz cheddar Cheese
Lunch: 1 pork chop cooked in butter and olive oil blend
Dinner: Chocolate whipped cream

That may be true, but sometimes if I eat the wrong things, my weight keeps going up. So I keep an eye on what I eat if my weight goes up.

Here is what I ate yesterday. 2 eggs scrambled in butter, 4 pieces of bacon, 2 oz of baked salmon in butter, 1 small chicken leg, chocolate whipped cream, plain whipped cream. I upped my fat intake, and that seems to be helping a lot.

I am down .5 today. I have lost 1.7 pounds in 8 days.

My dad always said if you don't know, you should ask about it. He always told me that nobody knows everything and we should never be embarrassed to ask.

By looking at these menus, I seem to be eating too much.
Breakfast - coffee with heavy cream (2tbsp to 4tbsp), 2 pieces of bacon, cream cheese pancakes {1 egg, 2oz of cream cheese, butter, 2tbsp of coconut flour)
Snack - quest bar (2grams of carbs/20 grams of protein)
Dinner - 2 eggs scrambled in butter, half an avocado, half a chicken sausage
Dessert - 2oz of 100% dark chocolate, 1 tbsp of butter/1 tbsp of nut butter spread on top.

What do you all think?

I don't think you are eating too much. It could be just what you are eating and not how much. Nuts keep me from losing. A quest bar would also keep me from losing. Also, I had to give up avocado. I would gain when I ate it.

I had a weird eating day.

Two lemon fat bombs
7oz pork chop seared in CO, and about 1.5 TBS of cream-based pan sauce
spicy egg salad made with 3 eggs, mayo, and habanero mustard

Not enough water
