Stress And It's Relationship To Ketones
What is the relationship between these things? Also, will lack of sleep negatively impact the production of ketones?

Good questions to which I can only offer opinion. I think the two are pretty much the same thing in that the lack of sleep creates stress. Stress is a primitive response to adverse conditions and may set about responses that involve eating. I find it useful to remember that urges to eat when stress is a physiological response and not something I need to respond to, very helpful.

That absolutely makes sense. This question is profoundly interesting to me because the last 9 months of my life were extremely stressful.

I wonder what direct impact there is on ketone production from stress. I guess I'm asking because in some of Jimmy Moore's talks I've seen on youtube, from his Australia trip, he mentions in passing how there were times when his ketones were not exactly in the optimal range and he attributes either lack of sleep or stress to that phenomenon.

I wonder if anyone else had heard of this or read what he's read? Maybe he's had more in depth conversations with Phinney, Volek, or Attia and they've explained some sort of hypothetical relationship.

Hmm, I have IBS meaning stress goes right to my gut. It is common. My digestion is really really poor at times as a result... the end results in the bathroom make it obvious that my digestion was extremely incomplete, sorry for any visuals.

So it makes sense to me that under stress, even if a person didn't go all the way to having this kind of condition chronically, quality of digestion could suffer and this seems like it would affect ketones.
