Have any of you made your own mayo?
I make my own mayo. I tried olive oil but didn't like it.
I make mine with bacon grease, eggs, salt and lemon juice and vinegar. sometimes I put a tad of pickle juice instead of lemon and vinegar.
I also make homemade ranch dressing using the mayo, sour cream and some spices: salt, garlic, onion powder, parsley, and chives.
The dressing is super good!

Mmm. Sounds yummy.
Do you use measurements for the mayo or just throw it all together? I've been saving my bacon grease just for mayo

If you Google it there is a recipe that I kinda went by. For the most part I just throw it together now. The new Atkins for a new you Book has some dressing recipes too but the use olive oil, mostly. I like bacon grease better.
I put it all together in my mini food processor. It is very easy.
It isn't as good as Hellman's mayo yet but I am trying to get away from the soy in store bought mayo.
But the ranch is better than store bought.
I got the ranch recipe from the New Atkins book.

Hmmm. You mean 'a week without working out but still no loss' rather than 'consecutive weeks of no working out with no loss', right?

That doesn't look like excessive working out to me. Maybe upping your calories a bit will fix the problem if the level you've been at is too much of a deficit.

Oh! Also listened to JM 674: Guest Hosts Jason Seib And Sarah Fragoso From Everyday Paleo Lifestyle And Fitness and it was AWESOME! I looooove listening to these things at work!
Wow, I have spent afternoon on Joseph Arcita. Will much simplify my counting. Love it.. Thanks so much

The explanation of fat metabolism looked really interesting. But he encourages high PUFA consumption, that was puzzling. And his exercise advice is odd too. Is he a paleo person?

My weight is holding steady at 187 despite eating more carbs the last 4 days. I've been skipping breakfast and fasting 18+ hours a day. That plus eating lower calorie has probably kept me from gaining. Who knows, I might even see a loss on the scale this week.

I'll be glad when this job is over and I can get back to a schedule that doesn't have me getting up at 4:30 am.

Yea!!! Got my new scales today. Thats the good news. Bad news is I'm up a little on new one.

Now, waiting on the food scales. I guess they're coming from China, because they have a delivery date up to latter part of May. Oh well.

Lovely nights sleep, ( does anyone sleep better than with a cool breeze coming across your face? Sigh) good eating yesterday. Trying a BP coffee with regular ol butter, up half a pound this morning. The only weight I've lost in the last month or so was after I had an off plan day. I have had luck with that before. I guess it shakes thing up. Have been considering IF (skipping dinner) because I constantly eat, think it might scare my body into burning some fat. " OMG! She hasn't eaten in 15 minutes!!! Start emergency plan A!"
Someone finally noticed I've lost almost 20 lbs, last week. I think my fat pants hid it. It's all about me! Why doesn't the world which revolves around me, notice!!! I demand unwarranted attention, and instant gratification.
BTE, BP coffee makes me feel like I can see through time. Anyone else get that?

I don't know if it's the BPC or what but last week I had a BPC egg cream every morning and seriously felt more mentally sharp at work than I have ever felt--like all neurological pistons were firing. I'll have to do more experimenting

Morning! Weight this morning 157.2 down .4 from lowest (on Sat)!!

I made quiche last night using almond flour for the crust. I am looking forward to experimenting with the almond flour. DH didn't even mention the difference in this crust compared to pastry crust...he just went back for seconds!

I'm off to check out that list of keto foods to see if there are any new ideas that I hadn't thought of...

ETA: I had already seen this list at one time but never bookmarked it...got it now!

Love it when the jeans get looser! (Especially when you suddenly realize they are too loose and you gotta go shopping! )
