And my SO is currently battling an eating disorder and clinical depression on top of it and I'm currently living states away, so believe me... I'm a constant ball of stress pretty much

Thank you, though! I make it through each day somehow. That's what SO always tells me though, that I'm stronger than I think I am. Good thing they also remind me sometimes that I'm not Superwoman and I can't do it all by myself without the help of others. I find coming here and talking to you guys to be really therapeutic, and it takes my mind off the bad and refocuses it on what's important

Blend ingredients in a bowl with an electric hand mixer. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour.

I bet this would be good on a fat fast.
This sounds yummy!
Thanks!

No but the title sounds familiar. How'd your daughter like it?

Melanie,

All that with your thyroid also is a factor in the way that you deal with all that stress. I am so glad you found a Dr. I will be praying that he is a goodie cause they are nearly impossible to find. Thyroid is hard enough without a crappy Dr. making it worse. Just finding a Dr open to NDT is a plus.
Great for you for getting away from soy. That is getting harder. Now they are feeding it to animals because it's so cheap.
Sounds like your smart and informed that's essential in getting better. You can't trust everything Doctors tell you.
I tell you it's crazy, but kundalini yoga has some great poses for thyroid. I can tell a big difference when I use them.
Hyper thyroid is bad, but hypo is worse, I think.

My mom almost died from Hyperthyroid. Back then there was less knowledge. It runs in our family but stress is a huge factor.
Hope my girls escape the dreaded thyroid curse in the family "

Then I hit the stall that most people hit at about that much lost. Then I explored the EFGT sub-forum and joined a LCHF challenge thread where the goal was over 80% fat. That took me to 205 where I got stuck for months [eta: I went back to a more normal Atkinsesque approach at 205]. I backslid, gained back to 216 and found NK.
Wow! 75 lbs is fabulous!

Had a lot going on the last couple of days!! Now trying to play catch up with you all! I shot up 3 lbs yesterday because I was starving on Friday!! Went down a lb this morning!! I am really getting frustrated!! However, it is my own fault..made fat bombs and ate them all, plus I got into the peanut better ( love the stuff!!). So I my total calories were way over the top!!
Been good today, but I still have the evening!!

Going to Texas Roadhouse. Any suggestions? I'm thinking ribeye but would you get a salad? Do you think all the dressings would have sugar?

I would definitely have a salad. If you stick with Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing, you should be fine.

Another big bounce - 137 on the scale this morning

BUT...pretty good numbers to report. From Friday's labs, although my total cholesterol was up 4 points from labs run in December, all other numbers were much better:

Blood glucose - 78 (106 in Dec)
Triglycerides - 71 (113 in Dec)
HDL - 78 (55 in Dec)
VLDL - 14 (23 in Dec)
LDL - 115 (125 in Dec)

Also, I had the BodPod done this morning to measure body fat % and lean muscle mass. In the last month, I have lost 1% body fat and gained 2.4lbs of lean muscle.

So despite the nasty bounce (and I will have to do some quick talking at my doctor's appt tomorrow morning, if the weight persists), all in all I am making positive progress.

it just shows there's more to it than what the scale says!

Thanks, I'm not freaking out just trying to figure things out. I almost hit my numbers (cal/fat/pro) over the last 2 days so it's making me wonder if I need to tweak it a bit. I did lose in the first couple of days so I am looking at those days to see if I should just aim for those numbers. Or maybe I'll just give it a few more days and see what happens.
