Monthly cycle and NK

I've just started my first cycle since removing the mirena(aka hormones) and have gone out of ketosis few days before and presently!
Anyone know if the hormone changes during your cycle knock you out of NK? For how long?
Thanks for any advice/experience!

Great question! I've been wondering the same thing.

I'm new to NK and am expecting TOM. I have the usual (for me) signals - fatigue, bloating (can't take my ring off my finger) etc.

I've been testing my blood ketones every morning right after I wake, and my results are dropping daily, from 1.2 mmol/L to 0.6!

I've also had lower ketones from hormones, so I don't bother testing during the 3 days leading up to my ToM. Just keep eating on plan...consistency is key.

I have a mirena in (not that it is doing any good....ridiculous fibroids and no regular tom! grrrr) BUT just had my first tom since starting NK and GAINED 3lbs of bloat in 2 days...now, i have no idea yet if it was normal or what...but I would agree wit the consistency...just stick to plan and the crazy hormones will subside

So a week later and day 4 of TOM, I'm finally back into zone, 0.6 this morning...guess ill know even better next month how my body deals with the hormones and if it affects my ketosis each time.
