For some strange reason I woke up with that song by the Hollies running through my head - "All I need is the air that I breath".

The Water Demon has visited my house, too. I've decided to blame all the cold medicine I'm taking. I've done my best to keep it to sugar-free stuff, but I suspect there's some hidden carbs in there. On the good side, my ketones are up to 1.6, even if my weight is back to 188 lbs.

So.. it seems there was some loss after some gain... How do i know if its just water weight or actual fat..or possibly muscle?
If you're keeping your protein levels up, it shouldn't be muscle. From what I've read, it can take some people a while to see results, but it looks like NK is starting to work for you - so keep eating on plan!

Because "net carbs" are bogus. Some of the so called "fiber" actually gets digested, if not by your body directly, by the flora in your gut, which then end up getting digested themselves or excreting products you do ingest.

The Living book was written for health care professionals and high information LC consumers.

The Performance book was written for the athletic community in response to demand from them after they knew about the soon to be published Living book. I haven't read it since I have .001 interest in being an athlete of any sort lol. But I know the formula it uses is based on lean body mass and body fat % rather than height/weight. It covers testing blood ketones (test strips are expensive). So if you are interested in maximizing your gym results and really into fitness this might be a better book for you. Most exercise enthusiast regard it highly although I have seen a post or two around LCF that felt it did not answer questions very completely. YMMV.

The podcasts:

Google 'jimmy moore long term stalls phinney'.

Google 'jimmy moore dr phinney art science' - this is from when the Living book was released. He didn't do one when the Performance book was released. Which is kind of surprising because Jimmy Moore based his approach to NK off of the Performance book.

Volek did a podcast with Jimmy Moore too but it wasn't about NK in particular.

Google 'jimmy moore volek fat'.
Awesome! Thank you a bunch for the info! I'm DEF checking out ALL of this.

Having a fabulous day. Went to my cardio dance class this morning and ended up staying for 3 classes, burned over 2000 calories having a ton of fun! Came home and had 2 hamburger patties with cheese and sour cream, pepperonis and coffee with HWC for dessert. After chillin for a bit I ended up going to the gym with my guy and did 4 of the weight machines then ran 1.5 mile. Came home and had 3 farm fresh eggs fried in butter. They were SO good.
So far:

protein 83 332 24.35803375 %

Experimenting with intermittent fasting today.. mostly because I'm not hungry this morning.

Gonna break it at 1PM with a slice of cheddar and onion quiche.

Sunday weight

Yesterday: 197.2
Today: 194.9
Ketones: 4.4
Blood sugar: 66 little low but I feel fine. No worries

Glad to see a drop in weight but it was 194 Thursday so I'm really waiting for it to drop below that. But 3 pounds down since last Sunday.
