A life lesson I learned.

When I was giving birth to my first child. I had been in labor 23 hrs and my very X husband was standing to the side behind me. He proceeds to say in his southern redneck drawl "YA AIN'T DOIN IT RIGHT." Don't worry, the nurse saved his life.

I realized that day, no matter what you are trying to do, there is always gonna be some one standing behind you saying, "YA AIN'T DOIN IT RIGHT."

Yep. Especially a lot of haters when it comes to low carb. That's why I LOVE posting pics of the bacon I eat and the weight and I'm losing on FB. The haters at least stopped telling me I was doing it wrong. Hehehehe Now they be wanting my bacon.

Saturated fat? Puh-lease. I eat coconut oil by the tablespoon. I put butter on my butter and top it with a butter sauce. Lol

Hi everyone! Thanks for the welcome, and the support... it's great to find this board since I'd pretty much lived on the main one for so long, assuming there wasn't a better place for me

Today I was up a pound at 160.5, but I know it's water weight. I could feel the slight bloat, and when I looked back I did have quite a bit of dairy and bit of extra salt yesterday... they're both pretty nasty to me in large enough quantities Still in ketosis though (according to the strips and the way I'm feeling) so that's good! Not sleeping very well last night probably hurt my progress too

As long as I don't switch up my snacks (although that would probably be trading my macadamias for a fat bomb) here's what I've got today:

B - 3 egg omelette with sausage and swiss
L - fat bomb (yummy!!)
D - hefty portion of crack slaw (used 1/2 pound of ground beef for my plate!)
S - 1/8 cup macadamia nuts, daily piece of dark chocolate, diet blue raspberry soda

1462 calories, 122g fat, 79g protein, 12g total carbs, 1667mg sodium, 6g sugar

75% Fat, 22% Protein, 3% carbs

Food log for today.
Breakfast - bacon, 2 eggs over easy, a lot of black coffee
Lunch - made a stirfry of leftover pork roast, riced cauliflower, and scallions cooked in coconut oil with soy sauce and a little sesame oil for flavor
Dinner - bacon cheeseburger on oopsie rolls

1440 calories, 107 g fat, 105 g protein, 13 g carbs, 5 g fiber. I've gone over on protein the last 2 days so I might do a fat fast tomorrow. At the very least I'll make it a higher fat day with less protein.

Cheryl, I would have killed him, woke him up and killed him again!!!!!

So, I'm staying away from the scale until after my friend Dot disappears. I weighed myself a few days ago, and I was only 1 pound up, but today I feel like my skin is busting at the seams. I haven't been this bloated since, well I don't know when. Le sigh.

Happy to be reading all of the good things going on here, though! You all keep me inspired!

I've tried everything! Even tipping it upside down in case there was an airlock inside the tubing. Nothing is working, and I'm quite peeved, because I have quite a stock of k-cups. I'm glad it was a gift, because if I had paid for it, Mr. Keurig Inventor and I would be having a heated discussion.

It's hard to believe other husbands nearby didn't come over and beat him for making their lives hard by proxy 'cause you know every woman that heard that remark was instantly mad at their own husbands

It is a standing joke in my house. 'You ain't doing it right." we say it all the time, and laugh.

Dear hubby says its good for him cause a turd would look like gold nugget next to a specimen like that

Wish I knew! I would push the button for a 12 oz cup and it would only brew about half that. I tried descaling a few times but that didn't help much. Sometimes NO water would come out when I pressed the brew button.

The last straw was when I lost the rubber stopper that fits on the needle, which I discovered was useful for keeping water from spraying everywhere. I probably could have gotten a replacement for the rubber piece, but since I was already having trouble with the machine I didn't bother.

ok... i dont want to get too excited but..

this morning i weighed 322.5
yesterday 324.2
wed - 326.5
thu - 325.4
monday 324

So.. it seems there was some loss after some gain... How do i know if its just water weight or actual fat..or possibly muscle? Yesterday i did my full first day of "modified" fat fast..heres what i had.

1884 cals, 20g carbs, 68g protein

6:30 am - coffee w/ co - 2 slices of bacon
9:45 am - 1 locally made farmers sausage with hot mustard, 1 tbsp creamcheese
1pm - another sausage and a piece of cheddar and cup of coffee
3pm - 3 slices bacon and 1 tbsp creamcheese
6PM - chopped avocado mixed with 3 tbps mayo and some chopped old cheddar
8pm - 2 sugar free jello cups

this is important to me, do i do the fat thing again with lesser calories..or do i go back to normal today, or what!? I want to keep losing. ..forever..everyday :P

Myles, I find when I'm losing FAT, I will lose one day, see a half pound bounce up the next day, then lose a pound from that the morning of day 3... so basically, looking at every other day, I always see some kind of loss.

I've done modified FF where I eat a couple all fat meals in the morning and afternoon (example: Morning would be 2oz HWC in my coffee and afternoon would be an ounce of macadamia nuts) and then around 6 or 7 at night eat a normal meal with about 30g of protein. This seems to kick me into ketosis and almost always, I'm 3-5 pounds lighter the next morning.

Blood sugar was 130 this morning. But I was a bad girl last night and had a white russian while watching The Big Lebowski.

"You want a toe, I can get you a toe!"

Love the losses!
