I'm loving this! It's so nice not to be hungry! ![]() I've ordered some new clothes but they haven't arrived. I got some accessories yesterday and that was a lot of fun. I have to admit that I get impatient and want to drop like two pounds per day. Lol |

Ended today with 1576 calories, 111 g fat, 94 g protein, 34 g carbs, 13 g fiber.
I used my last 1.5 oz of Jameson Irish whiskey to make a cocktail. Blended it with ice and half a packet of True Lemon drink mix powder; it was almost like a slushie. It's probably a good thing I didn't have more whiskey on hand and with this being Sunday, the liquor stores are closed. |

Not every single day. It's weird when i weigh myself, the scale goes up down up down within like 2-3 lbs before it can finally decide on a number. Wonder if i need new batteries although it seems unlikely.
last 4 weigh ins: Monday March 11th 6:02 AM - 324.3 Tuesday March 12th 6:15 AM - 324.7 Wednesday March 13th 5:46 Am - 324.4 Sunday March 17th 6:55 AM - 324.2 (today) |

Food log
I didn't count calories but let hunger be my guide. Some days I'm not hungry at all, some days there's a little more hunger. Coffee with cream, sf caramel sweetener, and coconut oil 1 oz pecans and 1 oz aged cheddar (I love cheese!) Hubby and I shared 2 dozen oysters but he ate way more than I (half grilled with Parmesan and half with crab, shrimp and cheese...all ont he half shell) Tequila with lime instead of green beer for St Patty Day. Good day. Lots of fun. Started testing hubby's ketones since he is complaining about being hungry. His ketones were .2 but were .6 today. He wants to get into ketosis too. He's 6'2" and has dropped weight easily just eating what I cook. He's now down to 217 without even trying. My daughter has dropped from 172 to 134 since I started cooking low carb. Love it! |

I don't think any particular ketone level correlates with feeling hungry though. If he is trying to watch his calories then a good strategy is to distract himself if he feels hungry but doesn't want the calories. In ketosis that usually works really well. Maybe combine distraction with a hundred or two hundred calorie fat bomb. |

He's been borderline ketosis and just wouldn't commit to pushing through the transition period. But now that's he's letting himself get into NK his hunger is starting to diminish. Personally, I think it's mental. shhhhh. |

weigh in this am 161.8
I expected a bounce even higher than that. I had an awesome workout yesterday and am really sore this morning. I Can't believe how much more energy I have and how much stronger I am. My muscles don't give out when exercising ![]() Kelly. That is so wonderful about your whole family losing weight together. ![]() ![]() ![]() Lately when my hubby says he feels sluggish I will tell him it was the carby stuff he ate 30 minutes before. Yesterday he said, there must be something to those carbs cause after I ate those cookies I felt zapped and wanted a nap. ![]() |

Personal story from yesterday.. (also posted in the "benefits im already noticing thread")
My cravings are also few to none, which is great, but for some reason last night i was craving sugar something fierce. I wanted to go buy some real cheesecake, and even took out some cream cheese to come to room temp and was going to make some with splenda but heres what i did instead partly because sometimes fake sugar can make cravings worse: One of my favorite things growing up was toast, with mayo, some cheddar cheese, and a lot of avocado, open faced or in a sandwich, it was like..my favorite. (sometimes with tomato and/or onion) Well luckily i had an avocado, so i just chopped it up and threw it in a bowl with a bit of cheddar cheese shredded, and some mayo, and a bit of champagne vinegar for tang.. mixed it up and ate it. Not only was it amazing and SUPER filling cuz of all the fat, but the craving was gone 100% |

Myles,
That's great!! Way to conquer those cravings. Becky, That's not too bad of a bump in weight. And at least you ate low carb stuff. I would LOVE to be your weight!! Clueless, Sounds like a great workout!! Doesn't seem fair that sore muscles show a weight gain. Lol Keep it up. I need to follow your lead. |

Monday weight
Yesterday: 197.9
Today: 195.7 Ketones: 3.2 I'm always distrustful of sudden large drops on the scale. Usually means there will be a little bounce back up. But it felt good to see a lower number. ![]() Ketones are the highest they've been since I started measuring. Not sure what the deal is. I'm definitely in ketosis! It is SO hard to do Monday after spring break. Gonna think positive: another weekend is around the corner. Have a great day, y'all. Kelly |
