Darn it.
I thought I went a week with no soy. The dips mix I used in my salad dressing had MSG in it. I forgot MSG is derived from soy. Gonna be a challenge, soy is in everything. Don't know if it is all in my head but my goiter does feel a little bit smaller. When I have a lot of stress it can get pretty big so I try to keep cool and keep drama out of my life |

The texture was the hardest for me to over come but if it means I can have spaghetti and meat sauce or macaroni and cheese again, then I'll overlook the texture! |

Weight: 197.2
Yesterday's weight: 199.1 Ketones: 1.9 Was not hungry at all yesterday! Very different from Thursday. I had some Ketocoffee (coffee blended with sf caramel sweetener, HWC, and coconut oil), guacamole, a few nuts, cheese, tequila on ice with lime (such a pretty day for sitting in the sun with a cold drink) then went out for blackened oysters with butter. Omg! They were sooooo good! Drank tons of water too. The ketones have been at the exact same level for the past two days. Have a great Saturday! |

Red,
Not to be paranoid about the headache, but are you sure there isn't someone playing shenanigans with your coffee? I mean, are you sure it has not been replaced with decaf? -- Phillip |

Does anyone use xylitol. I was thinking of trying it but noticed it has 4g of carbs per tsp, the same as reg sugar. I know those are sugar alcohols. Do you count them on NK?

Hi Clueless! Thanks for the welcome earlier. :-) I read that xylitol DOES affect blood sugar even though some say it does not - so sad for me as I use xylitol toothpaste and heard that even that can raise blood sugar! Some say erythritol is the only sugar alcohol that does not. I just want to get to the finish line as soon as possible so I will stick to stevia drops. ![]() |

I personally avoid anything that ends in "ol", aside from erythritol, which for some reason doesn't cause those problems. |

Sunday weigh in
Yesterday: 197.2
Today: 197.9 Ketones: 2.4 Up a little today. I'm a little surprised but I expect a drop tomorrow. Just seems to be an up-down-up-down way to lose. As lon as the trend is down, I'm happy. Made jalapeño poppers yesterday like Myles did. I mixed the cooked bacon and cream cheese together, stuffed it in halved jalapeños and broiled. Yum!! For dinner I had spaghetti!! Over shirataki noodles of course. Was so good and filling.Ketones are perfect. I'm not hungry. Hoping for another whoosh tomorrow. Happy St Patty Day!!! Avoid the green beer. It's bad for you. It'll make you break out in fat. Hehe Kelly |
