Taubes' issue with exercise was more about it being contrary to weight loss wasn't it? Seriously, if you like what you are doing and are benefiting from it, which you certainly are, there is no reason to stop doing it. Well, other than possible long term deleterious joint problems. You know, being well hydrated will help in the other department too. Jimmy Moore had a podcast with a female (doctor I think) that mentioned regularity and as I recall she was adamant that the morning constitutional should be morning, noon and preferable night too. But every day for sure. |

I used 2 cubes of bouillon to get my two in for the day and made a batch I could eat all at once. Dang it was good. I'm gonna do it again with a chicken breast fried up and chopped up. |

Wait! Remember that Seinfeld where Kramer installed the food disposal in his shower so he could make food while taking a shower???

Log for today
calories 1456 fat 116 75% pro 62 18% carb 25 7% Opps protein was alil low today. I cut my calories some the last couple of days and my dang headaches are back. Do you guys get headaches? I took my magnesium, that helped some before but didn't help today or yesterday. Headaches seem to be the biggest issue I have since going LC/NK. The first month I went LC I had headaches everyday. Hadn't had any in awhile till yesterday. |

Lola - welcome from another newbie!
Just had my bouillon with dinner. Well, still working on dinner... anyone else find the bouillon to be a real appetite killer? Also, how much sodium do you all get from your bouillon? I followed the directions to make 16 oz, which gives me 1760 mg of sodium. Is it dangerous to drink that all at one sitting? |

Could it be the weather? We've had some rain move through the area the last few days. Perhaps a low pressure zone is pushing through your area? |

Thanks Another question, once you keto adapted again and your body has adjusted, do you still drink boullion and keep you salt intake pretty high everyday? Or do you do the boullion more in the beginning, when your body is adjusting? |

Essentially, the issue is that LC eating is always diuretic and you'll always be excreting more sodium than a high carb person. I think there is a range of sodium for any given person though. For instance, one person may really need to hit 5g just about every day through food and added sodium (broth, salt shaker whatever) while another person may seem to be perfectly fine with 3g gained entirely through food and a few shakes of the salt shaker. Activity level would affect it too through perspiration. Other environmental factors could come to the party as well. Very cold weather is typically accompanied by very dry air and you lose more moisture than you might expect. |

Hi to all! I am stopped by to say hello, trying to catch up. Been extremely long days at work for nearly two weeks. Eating has been a real challenge, all the broth talk has me putting a bag out from the freezer. I love the homemade and it really fills you up!
Remember to be careful balancing sodium, taking supplements, it's a fine balancing act. Drinking more water will help balance it out too. Taking magnesium in the evening, then at bedtime may have better results. Women, minimum 400mg, up to 800 for most of us. Men 1000mg is acceptable. Eeekkk, pickle juice! Will check in again soon, still at work tonight! ct |

Hahaha thank you! The warrior diet is basically when you fast/undereat throughout the day (20hours) and then have a 4 hour window to eat. This helps me stay on track because I am able to have a huge meal at the end of the night as opposed to un satisfying smaller meals throughout the day. You don't have to use this diet in tandem with low carb but I am We will see. Last weight in was 177 on Sunday. Next weigh in is on Friday! |

Nice 1.6 pound drop from yesterday morning. Dunno what I did different, because my weight is hanging on for dear life lately. Might have something to do with PMS and increased stress levels from school. I dunno? Yesterday overall I did manage to eat higher calories than I've been eating lately, gotta remember to stick around there. Yesterday was the first day without "Need food right now or I will kill you" hunger all day. AND, no nausea to speak of this time around.
B: coffee w/ 1 T cream, 4 pieces of bacon S: bouillon w/ 3T cream, .5 oz almonds, .5 oz macadamia nuts L: big salad with romaine, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, onions, 2 oz goat cheese, 2 T olive oil, 1 pickle D: glass sauvignon blanc, burger w/ cheddar, 2 pickles 1598 calories 120.2g fat 26g carbs (18g net) 80g protein I live for the salad. Its so good. I will be so sad if I ever figure out that too many veggie carbs are stalling me. That salad has literally prevented me from sliding into a deep depression due to school. Have no idea how big the burger actually was since it was from a restaurant, but I rolled with 8 oz. Have a good day! |
