I've maintained my weight loss through the stall, but I'm wondering at what point I should give up and say, "I'm going to be this weight the rest of my life" and not be so limited in my diet.
I know, this whole process is hard. I'm not an expert by any means, just been at this a long time and finally learned my lessons. I don't know you at all MerryKate, but have you had your thyroid checked as per recommendations from the thyroid people on here? (check the medical boards here) Many gals have this issue and it is very difficult to lose if untreated and could be an underlying problem for you. How many calories are you taking in a day? You've probably done all this already, but I find calories do count. 3-5 months is a long time. Google thyroid disease symptoms.

Also, how tall are you, how's your bone structure, genetics? I think people's ideal of goal is awfully low these days and a lot of us were meant to be a bit more husky than those artificial goals and charts would have it. Perhaps you are at the goal your body wants to be at? Do your friends/family think you are at a good weight for you? Why beat your brains out so to speak trying for an unrealistic number, go by how you feel and fit into clothes. What size are you now? All things to consider.

And yeah, I don't really want to eat this strictly forever, so there has to be a balance somewhere! The goal/number we finally decide on might be a big factor in looking at this all realistically.

Good luck on your journey.

Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind. Henry James

Just got the book...now planning on how/when to implement. I like the two days a week idea. The Keto Coffee with 1/4 cup cream seems easy enough to do most days. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I've been eyeing Fat Fasting and looking to implement at least one round in July.

Looking forward to getting to meet fellow fat fasters here.

Hello everyone,

I'm in day 3 of my ff and have lost 1 lb. I don't have the ketone monitor yet but I have ordered it. I am testing my glucose daily to see what I'm eating that would raise my blood sugar. I've struggled with my weight since I was a child and have about 145 lbs to lose. I turned to doing NK after being on Induction for over two weeks with zero weight lost. I"m hoping this will jump start it.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Does anyone know how many grams of protein a day you are roughly supposed to be eating on a fat fast?

And very few folks are 'sodium sensitive' in relation to high blood pressure. The problem is using white refined salt stripped of its minerals instead of unrefined salt like celtic sea salt or Himalayan salt with its minerals still intact. We NEED salt.

Lots of great information on this thread. I am now on day 2 of my first ever fat fast, and plan to go to NK when it is over. I too lose weight slowly once the initial loss happens.
I have been LC'ing since January when I gave up wheat and cured numerous ills with my health. So, I'm gluten intolerant, and am very happy without wheat!
I'll keep reading threads and hope to have good results to post soon!
