Question about precision xtra system

I posted this in one of the other threads.. but I think it got lost in the shuffle, so I figure I'd try with a new thread...

I have a few questions for you guys who use the Precision Xtra system.

Do your strips come with that "calibrator stick?"

How often do you calibrate it?

I've only been doing it once per box. I can't find anywhere in the instructions where they give any recommendation. They just say the calibration should be done and the lot numbers checked.

I saw your question in the other thread just now but thought I'd answer here since you'd be more likely to see it. I only calibrate after opening a new box. I've never seen a need for calibrating more often than that. I guess if I started to test and noticed that the date and time were wrong or I got some weird error, I might try calibrating again.

I wonder about calibrating for b.g. - I have a box of 100 strips so it would be a while before another 'recommended' calibration. If I were to do it sooner, can I use the same calibration stick?

each box has its own calibration stick.
