What I do all the time, particularly if it is a long post, is use a text editor to type out what I'm posting then copy/paste over. I got into the habit of doing that years ago when websites were crass enough to make sessions time out and zap your post ![]() If you use Google's Chrome browser you can usually just back arrow to get back the page with your full text in it. I've had to do that several times when my flaky internet drops out suddenly. |

Day before yesterday I ate a modest lunch and for at least an hour I felt as full as if I'd pigged out at a buffet. When dinner time came around I could have skipped it for hours or even altogether but I wanted to hit my protein and calorie goals and I like not eating real late. |

But, fat has done that to me alot. When I was on a low fat diet we would occasionally eat mexican. The kids said I got a fat buzz cause as soon as we would leave the restaurant I would get that feeling and giggle a giggle and laugh for an hour or so. I have been doing CO for along time and especially if I eat it on an empty stomach I feel that way. I probably starved my brain from all those years of low fat diet. Well, I ate way too much protein today.. 105g
I try to shoot for 62-89. Dang it, Linda Sue's Green Chicken Enchilada Casserole just called to me.. I had 2 pieces instead of one, but it was what my body wanted. |

Red, the syrup flavors I have are chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla. Nothing special, just what they carry in my grocery store. Yep, i just put the sour cream in a small bowl, and stir in a tbsp or so of flavoring. I don't put it on anything.
Clueless, congrats on finishing your taxes! It sounds like a real sense of accomplishment! Mizzcase, the casserole sounds really good. I'll have to look that one up. I'm on track today. Did eat my snack, but stayed on plan. Day 2 complete! |

Just a quick note to let you all know I am still around but not posting much. Can't sleep tonight so am up at 2:00. My BP is doing better on different meds but we just found out on Thurs. that our grandson who is 13 has type I diabetes. I know it will be ok but I am beyond upset right now. Would do anything to take that away but I can't.

Buffy, feel better, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandson..
Yvonne, not sure what recipe you're referring to.. the Green Chicken Enchilada Bake is a Linda Sue recipe. I follow it step by step, but I shred the chicken breast, I think the texture of it cubed is strange. The macaroni and cheese subbing broccoli is ALSO a Linda Sue recipe, its called "Mockafoni and Cheese"... I sub broccoli for the cauliflower and at the end throw on a layer of parmesan cheese (from the green cans) and broil it for 2 or 3 minutes.. it gets really crunchy and reminds me of the breadcrumb mixture people sometimes top their mac and cheese with. |

Speaking of that Chicken Enchilada Bake, I felt SO guilty for eating that second slice.. I was still hungry though, it was just that those extra calories and proteins grams made me feel like I blew it.
I laid in bed last night and thought to myself, "Maybe NK isn't for me, its so hard to keep my protein low! What if I'm ruining all the muscle I'm building? Maybe I should just go back to Atkins. Or maybe I should do Paleo, and stop counting calories and macros? Ugh." The first thing I thought when I woke up was how guilty I still felt. Afraid to step on the scale. So step on the scale this morning I did. 125! Down 1.6 from the day before woowoo. I think I will stick to higher protein and calories on lifting days, it must work for some reason. I had asked the question of whether I should up protein on lifting days previously, and someone who usually posts in the other NK thread replied with a definitive NO, keep your protein the same. So I did. Won't be doing THAT anymore.Have a good day everyone. |
