Thanks Nicki!! I just ordered Art and Science of Low Carb Performance as I am a runnner. I want a diet that will optimize my performance- i am planning on doing a half marathon in the spring. Need to get body fat and weight down.
and thanks Pinky! Ainsley is not a common name but not that uncommon here in Canada... |

OK- you have managed to pull me out of lurker land w/ your admission of being a runner... ![]() I'm training for first full marathon (this May) and also 14+ weeks into eating LCHF. I've lost 17lbs with only 3 to go, but the bigger accomplishment is that I'm keto adapted for running. The book is fantastic- a lot to absorb, but so helpful. Be warned that it felt like it took forever to get fully keto adapted- I felt the normal adjustments for the first 1-2 weeks like everyone else, but it took longer for the stable running energy to show up. But, I am THERE! Two weeks ago, I did my long run of 10 miles and could have kept going...my energy was so stable and endless in a way I've never felt before...I attribute that to the fact that my body is now fully adapted to running on fat. The weight loss is 100% from how I eat because I've been running for years w/ no weight loss when eating traditionally.... just my experience/comments I've been following this thread (and others) for weeks and am so thankful for all those who post so faithfully- there are so many of us who are learning from your experiences even if we never post. |

I went out to lunch with my BF, I wanted eggs so we had to go to Dennys. I ordered 3 scrambled eggs and thankfully asked if they were real without a filler and she gave me the option to get 3 whole cracked eggs scrambled. Good thing I asked!!!! They were actually really yummy

Hi to All!
Deborah, good to have you back, hope you are doing better. Oceana, wow, your avi is beautiful. 142 is great! I have given up CO for the immediate future, can't get past that nausea. Keep talking about that bacon and I'll need a roadtrip to Washington! Oh no Becky, I hate when that happens! My dogs would have helped you clean up! You will bounce back down! Buffy, any down is good! Hi Linda. I don't know much about the MCT, except I have read other's praises of it on threads and on other websites. Cheryl, I consider bacon a meat! Hi Faith, wow, another shortie like me, and I am 51, and 125-127. Welcome. Buffy, if you find a Co-Op in Texas, send directions! Pam, I am eating eggs, meat (including bacon!!!)... Welcome Ainsley! We have guys on here too! Good luck with the running! Welcome Larla! Delurking is great. Same on the running! Newbies--Read the beginning post by Darin, he put it all down in a great format. But we all have our personal variations, so it's a tweaking thing too! Hi Deb, great recipe, never thought about adding ham! Yummy. And you bake it, another good idea. I nuke it all. Hi Gord! Maybe Darin has finally put on the hockey mask and gone to the doctor???? |

Morning!
Congrats Cheryl and Becky on your losses!!! It is surprising at times how we kind of have to work on getting the calories high enough, who would have thought we would ever think that. Red, still missing you. |

I am still doing my experiment where I am trying to get in at least 2000 calories a day, it was successful last week. 2 days I didn't make it, made it yesterday but I was really stuffed. Will see how it goes after another week.
Becky, you have come a long way since July 15. KUTGW!!! |
