I didn't really measure
Couple tbs of coconut oil warmed in the microwave Splash of vanilla Dark chocolate powder and sweetened white choc powder Tiny pinch of sea salt Packet or two of sweetener I use splenda but found out that it doesn't sweeten chocolate so I'll try something else next time It's really good with chopped peanuts and walnuts used for ice cream toppings I used this fun little silicon rose mold I got for really cheap. They taste better on the top because the white choc powder didn't blend well and just fell to the bottom of the molds. Just stick em in the freezer My goal is to make low carb gluten free goodies and sell them around here. Well, mainly just give them away

Hi to all!
Darin, how low is your resting pulse? In my prime exercise days, mine was 48, I was also in my 30s, yet a lifetime from present. Now, if your BP is still tracking highish...and your resting pulse is lowish....get the hockey mask, something isn't quite sounding normal here. That gunk getting out is good; except if it stops sleep, then not so good. Eat to your receptors when the urge hits. Better to eat almonds that to smoke. I didn't get to play much on the computer last night, but will work at it again. Think I will need to get a 2gig; the TB is enough HD, but I think you made a good point to keep it independent. I have Roadrunner, whatever the fastest one is called, it's very good and reliable. Long downloads make me a bit ADD...ha, use the ipad during that time! We love the mashed cauliflower! All types of cheeses, sour cream, butter....even cheap frozen stuff is great with all that on it. Smoky cheddar is our favorite one with SC, butter! Nicki, that sounds like a great plan! good to hear from you Oceana, you can have magnesium toxicity, back down to 800-1000 for all sources, including nuts you may be consuming. Mag tox can cause many symptoms that include "flu like symptoms"....oxide doesn't absorb much, maybe 2%. Get anything that ends in -ate. Hi Becky! Almond Oil mayo is yummy! I tried to like the Olive oil one....maybe a batch with the extra light kind?? Dunno....I don't really care for olives either. Wow Buffy, you knew it was coming! Woooohhooooo! Protein makes sense, it takes much work for the body to process, it burns more calories. Hi Linda! Missed you, hope you are doing ok! Hi Cheryl! oh well, I still chew some now and again, when my allergies kick in, but only for about 5-10 min, makes the old jaw sore now! Hi Tablis, welcome to 80-15-5! Hi Pam! Wow, is there a rule about thread jacking??!! I knew I should have read the instructions more! Hi Geogeo! Meat and eggs are sounding wonderful. Great to hear Gord, night shifts booooo! So it's meat & eggs?! Maybe that would make my nasty tummy better? But since I stopped the coconut for two full days, it's improving. Not liking this development. CT |

Good morning ALL
Good to see you Deborah!!! SG, it could be the CO. When I was eating too much fat and not enough protein I felt really icky. I thought I already posted this mgs? I'm confused haha maybe I posted on another thread ![]() I just weighed myself....142! How exciting. Thats a 6.4 loss in 5 days. Doesn't seam right!! Anyone think that could be unhealthy? Im eating alot! It's possibly more like a 3lb loss cause it really could have been water from going off plan for a week. I was saying in the EMF thread that I'm curious to see when it will slow down or if I gain back by adding in some cheese and veggies on thanksgiving? |

Wow Becky, was it that good? Or that bad?
![]() My weight was down .2 this morning from my new low of yesterday which was a pleasant surprise. Liz, how nice for you to see that quick drop. I wouldn't worry yet, if you lose 30 lbs quickly, then we will worry ![]() After we all do exactly what you have done of course! I need to start eating a little earlier in the day I think, but I am just not hungry for food until about noon. I love my coffee and CO up until then. But, then I have to eat a lot between then and say 7 pm, as I try to not eat a lot after 7. Such a problem, ![]()

Linda, MCT oil is a fat just like CO so you don't "need" it unless you really want to replace some of your CO with that. It is liquid so people like to use it in shakes, smoothies, etc. I see now that netrition has liquid CO and I have it in my cart to buy on my next order. Will be handy for some recipes where you melt the CO, then add something cold to it and it lumps back up.
I swear, I could order something online daily for this WOE, read about so many things that I want to try. |

I'm confused about MCT oil too. What are the advantages of that vs coconut oil?

But then I found the most delicous nitrate free bacon at the Co-op and they cook some every morning and have it in their deli. Now I don't know how they do it? but it's the most magical bacon ever!!! I can't even explain how amazing it taste Oh and they have fresh chorizo that they make there so it's just fine to eat. So mainly I'd say stay away from deli meats and heavily processed meat IMO |

You're so sweet Buffy That pic is me around 137? this time last year, not far from where I am now (put it up for inspiration to lose the few more pounds to my first goal. well second cause my first was 145 I'm going to start working out to tone up a little and see if I can get my belly back to where it was. It's like my weight shifted around and went to my middle. Weird. Oh and the bacon is the Co-op own brand but I'll go there today and see what I can find. Do you have a Co-op around your area? |

If we have a co-op I am not aware of it, but they probably are around.
You look pretty young, but be aware, the older a woman gets, usually, the more fat she begins to store around her middle. And when a woman gets near menopause, it just sticks to that mid section like concrete, I see many women from about 45 on, who are slim and basically trim, but have that muffin top and begin to store fat on their backs? What the H#)) we need that for I have no idea ![]() |

Can someone post a link to the meat and egg diet...I can't find it and want to check it out. I'm thinking of trying it for a week maybe. I need a kick start. I have been having trouble since I was so sick with that flu. I can't seem to get back into that hunger free zone I was in.

Hi ladies!
Can I join your thread? I would really love to give this nutritional ketosis thing a real go...I have done well on it before and need to recommit. I was doing stillmans/dukan for a while with good success but was always hungry and missed my olive oil and salads! I am not sure what the difference is between this thread and the nutritional ketosis one? can anyone advise on that? I am 35 years old, 5'5", small frame. currently 148.5 and hoping to get down to 125-130. My "normal" weight is 145 ish. I am up a bit since I've been binging since Halloween and not following a low carb plan at all. I need to get my but in gear as I want to look good for the Christmas parties coming up soon! I look forward to learning from you ladies. Hugs, ainsley xo |
