Red, I am the queen of uncomplicated. This soup is really easy, made using just one pot and is good for six meals. If it weren't for the hubster expecting regular meals, my kitchen would contain a comfortable chair, a good reading light, a jar of peanut butter and a spoon.

Morning. My scale was nice again this morning, not showing a loss but at 197.2, back down from the upward bounce so I think by Monday's weight charting day, I should have another loss to post.

Pat, that soup sounds so good and I happen to have fresh broccoli in the fridge. Need to pick up some organic chicken broth. Today or tomorrow I will go to grocery store, our new Aldi's opens tomorrow but probably not a good day to go there. I hate the crowds when a store first opens.

Finished a big task in the office yesterday so now I can breath a little easier. But, driver's license needs to be renewed this week, I need to go have another blood test the Dr. ordered to follow up on the low sodium report on the last one, have dinner club tonight with my girlfriends so need to wrap 3 birthday gifts, and then all the other usual "stuff" we do.

Have quit snacking after dinner with no problem at all. Really not eating more or less, just eating everything I am going to have in the evening with dinner and not saving part of it for a snack. Had apple cinnamon hot tea with CO with dinner last night, very tasty. I add 1 drop of liquid splenda too. That is going to be a nice treat this winter, last winter I drank lots of hot chocolate which of course won't be drank this winter, unless I LC it.

Yes PC, when I think of all the years I battled weight with LF food that tasted like crap, and watched my weight keep increasing. And, could never get full or satisfied

Thank you

I'm loosely planning on exceeding my goal weight. 184 is my so-called ideal weight according to one site but the range of 'healthy' weight is pretty broad.

I checked my waist measurement this morning too... 39.25! I started on the 10th last month at 44". Really though, I still have a little pot belly which is most displeasing.

I tell you what, although I am adamant that exercise is not integral to weight loss, I am interested in engaging in some light form of exercise just for toning. But I doubt it will be more than perhaps taking walks or somesuch.

The problem with anything more than something like that is that it is a forever proposition. When you stop the benefits and tone stops.

With a general downward trend, rather than a long-term stall, a no movement scale is a victory!

Boy, that's the truth, for years, I jogged, ran, walked and did a pretty physical type of work, then when I stop, my muscles turned to fat and worse then someone who had never exercised. I really think walking is one of the best things for a person who wants to just be and maintain a moderate exercise.

But my waist was pretty much where the rest of my fat was located since starting LC last year and losing 60 pounds. When I lost the 60 a lot of it came off my internal organs, then my legs, my forearms (which surprised me) and my face. I didn't measure my waist at 265 but I lost a heck of a lot of my belly with that 60 pounds too.

There just isn't much else to burn for fat except around my waist.

I have always enjoyed grocery shopping, due to my love of eating I guess and cooking. When my family was home especially. Now, I don't cook or grocery shop as much but am cooking more now that I am back to LC.

So, enjoyed the day the ads came in the paper, but have you noticed it takes about 3 minutes now to look over the ads? Meat/cheese/eggs/avocado,HWC, butter. The rest is filled with stuff I don't even look at anymore. Oh well, gives me more time to hang out here

Our Aldi's opens tomorrow and they have a dozen large eggs for .79. I am going to pick some up but DH knows a guy who lives on a farm with chickens and he sells his eggs for $1.50 a dozen so going to get some of those too. Been a long time since I have bought really fresh eggs.

lol so true!

I've always been a shopper. Love going up and down every aisle although I stay off the evil bread aisle and a few others these days

That's so true Red, takes very little time in the store, there are a lot of aisles that I totally skip and I used to spend some time in the freezer aisles, haven't even glanced at them lately. Finally threw out the container of Mango sherbert that had been in the freezer, trying to tell me "remember how much you like me, remember the good times we had this summer, come on, just a little won't hurt you". Down the drain. Did save the chocolate and vanilla ice cream I keep on hand for the grandkids but not really tempted by them. Braums butter brickle ice cream used to be my downfall, OMG, I loved that stuff, but, they changed their recipe and I didn't like the new way they made it so that solved that addiction.

Found out we are going to a good Italian restaurant tonight, not the best for our WOE but workable. I am going to have a house salad with blue cheese dressing and a grilled chicken breast.

So very true. My store visits are drastically shorter than they have ever been. Even if I don't have a list or a plan. Meat area, 90% choco bars, pig skins, HWC area and that is about all they offer I'm interested in.

I really like the Carb Smart ice cream. I ate a ton of that after I stalled without gaining anything.

I made some Magic Shell type stuff using melted CO bark. It was a flop as far as thin crunch coating but it tasted good with the ice cream.

Red, have you tried Braums LC ice cream? I think it is good but the sugar alcohols give me problems and I haven't been missing it so no need to start.

That would almost be a bad thing for me, then I might really get hooked on this, the SA's keep me from over eating on it.
