my energy can sometimes be lacking.. (full time job, full time mommy) could do that lol.. besides lack of sleep.
I have heard amazing things about the mct oil and the bullet proof coffee.. (I use 8 o'clock coffee though i love it lol)
with the kerry gold unsalted butter.. supposedly that helps with people that IF also.. I would be interested doing this WOL along with IF if possible, I think the MCT oil may give me the energy needed and hopefully curb the hunger till dinner time where I would gorge myself on LOVELYYYYYYYYYY FAT lol
We will see though..

I will go back to the clinical references, yes the body rids itself of much of it, but you are getting it in other vitamins/supplements, read the "other ingredients"...and foods. So, be careful, kidney transplant lists take a lot of paper work!

Meeting or torture session??? Or is this really just a chance to play Angry Birds for 8 hours???
This was unfortunately a "check the phone, pad at the door"....I had extra coconut has it rushes me, and I was wide awake the entire time. Love that coconut! Kerry, after listening to the others for over a month, I upped the coconut oil/cream/butter/milk...and my energy is fantastic. I am sleeping better now too. I do not consume any CO after 6pm, tested that and well, was wide awake very late one night.

Buffy, I just spewed half of my morning coffee and CO all over my keyboard. Must remember to have an extra cream cheese cloud to compensate for the lost CO.

Zay, Kerry and Red I really like seeing your daily menus. But I just don't get how plain naked tomatoes and broccoli can be considered supper. Have you thought of converting it to cream of broccoli soup with lots of HWC, grated cheddar and liberal amounts of cayenne?

I'm going to try a T of Kerrygold butter in chicken consomme with lunch today. The main course will be a cheeseburger in a bowl. Supper will be two eggs beaten with a bit of vanilla and sweetener and made into two very flat omelets that I tell myself are crepes (don't like eggs and can only eat them if they are cleverly disguised as something else like crepes or chocolate mousse). I then fill each "crepe" with 2 T of cream cheese with cinnamon and sweetener and roll them up.

I meant *I* was being wishy washy about the half/half.

Me: 'No! on the h&h'
Someone posts something.
Me: 'Maybe! on the h&h'
Someone posts something.
Me: 'Yes on the h&h!'
Then you pointed out the sugars.
Me: 'back to No! on the h&h'

lol

I don't like coconut milk but that is another great idea to mix with HWC to cut the calories

EllaP suggested almond milk as a mix earlier which I'd like to try

So there are at least 3 ways to use HWC and cut the cals: water, almond milk or coconut milk. Maybe coconut cream too?

Essentially I am eating two meals on those days. Breakfast calories are from the CO I have with coffee. Then whatever lunch/brunch is carries me through.

I do get hungry on some of those days between coffee and when I finally eat lunch. Occasionally very hungry. But since I am actively managing calories and macros I also get into conundrums where I get stymied trying to figure out on my log what I'm going to eat and still meet my macro/calorie goals. Those days are almost always two meal days lol.

If I get hungry early enough, after coffee, or even while I am drinking coffee, then I might have a brunch and that throws my plans right out the window. That is what happened yesterday when I had 3 eggs and bacon. I never did get hungry again after that. I had the broccoli and tomato just for the health appeal more than anything else - so chock full of goodness. And to get extra sodium in since I salted the heck out of them. My protein was a little low yesterday and right before I went to sleep I realized I should have nibbled on at least an ounce of chicken which is a tiny amount but would have pushed my protein grams up to something more respectable.

And, we must confront the ugly truth, Darin can be pretty amazingly lazy in the kitchen.

It's almost against my religion to converse with anyone weighing less than 190 pounds, but since you're so newly arrived there, I'll make an exception.

The broccoli cheese soup is Cleochatra's recipe. I don't use thicknthin/not starch cuz we don't have that here and I don't add the red peppers either. Extra Kerrygold vintage cheddar thickens it up quite nicely.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

2 tablespoons butter
3 Tbsp thicknthin/not starch
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
**2 1/2 cups water
3 cans chicken broth — about 4 cups (I use one box of Swanson Organic Chicken Broth)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
16 ounces frozen chopped broccoli — thawed and drained
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped — finely chopped
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese — sharp or extra sharp
2 tablespoons chopped chives — or green onion tops

1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add
flour; cook and stir 30 seconds or until bubbly. Add cream,
water, broth, salt, mustard and cayenne pepper; bring to a
simmer over high heat, stirring frequently. Add broccoli
and red pepper; return to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer
uncovered 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Add cheese; stir over low heat just until cheese melts
(do not boil). Top with chives if desired.

**For a thicker soup, cut back the water by one cup -

6 servings.
Nutritional information: Calories: 353, Total Carbohydrates: 7g, Fiber: 3g, Net Carbohydrates: 4g, Protein: 8g, Fat 10g.

Pat

P.S. I use more than 1/4 tsp cayenne too.

Thanks Pat! I swoon at complicated recipes unless I am really in a get out my fancy expensive stainless steel mixing bowl kinda mood. I define complicated as mostly anything over two ingredients.
