Mom_2, I think it was yesterday you said you had a lunch that was mostly fat? It could have been today; this thread moves fast. What did you have? I am always always always looking for more ways to get my fat up.

Betty, you doin' alright?Wow this thread is moving FAST! I'm doing great. I had no losses for 2 days and then today TOM showed up so that explains it. This morning I am down .4 so I am very happy. A few people asked for food ideas so I thought I'd share what is common for me. I tend to average 20-24 net carbs, so you might want to cut some veggies if you want to go less. I am a veggie-holic so I keep them. Breakfast ideas: coffee w/HWC + MCT oil bacon avocado eggs fried in butter OMM with 2 T cream cheese Almond milk "shake" (12oz unsw almond milk + 4 oz HWC + sweetener [I like Torani vanilla syrup] + dash of cinnamon) Lunch: queso fresco fried in 1tsp olive oil ![]() turkey lunch meat w/crm cheese and pickles chicken salad egg salad or deviled eggs tuna salad Dinner: hamburger patty with various add ons pork shoulder in crock pot - can eat on this all week grilled chicken breast (this is great if I need protein but not as much fat) 1c mushrooms sauteed in butter and olive oil 1.5 c of broccoli/cauliflower w/butter/parmesan/cheese 1.5c roasted veggies - zucchini/red pepper/onion cheese/bacon/catsup-mustard-mayo/tomato once a week I have a big salad and pizza toppings when we have our family pizza night. I also have on hand some macadamia nuts, fat bombs, cheese sticks if I need something quick. I par-cook 4lbs of bacon at a time and keep it in the freezer so I can grab it and nuke it for 30 seconds so I always have bacon. I also use precooked hamburger patties that my local store (HEB) makes. They are delicious and easy to grab. I have some salmon patties from Costco that I can use but I am really not a fish eater at all. For a nice treat if you need something warm and sweet late at night, and can afford just a little more fat: 6-8oz of almond milk, warmed up dash of cinnamon sweetener of choice 1T coconut oil If I am going to put CO in a beverage, this is my favorite. SOOOOO YUMMMMOOOO. Warm and soothing right before bed. It's barely 74 degrees right now in Central Texas so we are headed out into the Hill Country to get out of the house. Have a wonderful day y'all!

Just put in oven, didn't add the lemon as I want to add various toppings. Used a combo sweetner of rounded 1/4 cup erythritol, 1/4 cup granular splenda and 10 drops stevia. Will see how they turn out.

I know that there was a picture and recipe for the fat bombs that Rebecca made posted on the original thread. I have to make those. Does anyone know where I can find them?

Several observations at almost 2 weeks in:
My skin is not as dry, at first I thought I was imagining it but it really isn't. Forgot to put moisturizer on arms and legs and it didn't bother me. Hmmm, the dry eye problem that was driving me nuts is much better. I am running HOT, kind of comes and go but kind of like hot flashes, but more like a slow burn. |

So if I'm having chicken for dinner, for example, instead of having my usual 6-8oz should I limit the chicken to say 3-4oz and top with oil, butter, mayo (aka lots fat) and fill up on the fat rather than the meat?

Here are my Saturday numbers:
Calories: 1,548 Carbs: 18 Fat: 133 Protein: 69 Did my bodyweight circuit then ran 2.65 miles. I had salad bar for lunch at a ladies' church function, since I planned the menu there were lots of good choices and olive oil and vinegar dressing. But I don't usually eat just a large salad (with some turkey for protein) for a meal, so I tested my BG a couple hours after and it was 88. I was a little past the 2 hour window, but anything mid-day under 90 is really okay with me I think. From what I understand about BG while low carbing. --Jamie |

Buffy & Jamie! You guys are doing great!
And Judy, that recipe looks awesome! Sadly, I don't do HWC anymore, I think it's the small amount of lactose that does me in |
