So how important are the percentages? I have my meals figured for the day and it looks like 74/18/8.

Important but not as important as getting your protein grams in for the day. Don't sacrifice a lot of protein grams to hit a good percentage.

Basically, set up your protein goal then fill in the rest with fat till you hit your calorie goal if you have one or till you satiated if you don't.

One strategy to get the protein right and have good percentages is to eat fatty protein.

Personally, I think anything at 70+% is a great day for fat.

The thing is, you can have fantastic looking percentages but if you ignore the grams, protein in particular, your percentages are hiding a problem instead of helping you.

It is very rainy here so if I suddenly disappear for a day or two it is because the rain zapped my DSL.

Question for you fish eaters: Is there a certain fish which is better than others to consume than others on this plan? Meaning, which have you found to be to have the higher fat content?

I reckon that the only high fat content fish is the kind smothered in butter

But that is a great question. All we have around the house is tilapia.

I also am a fan of sushi. I like your recipe as opposed to broiling. Salmon has been put on the grocery list.

So, Puerto Rico, eh? Have you ever been?

The wedding will be perfect and beautiful, I'm sure!

Yup. LC since Jan. I'm down 32 as of this morning. It could be more, but I had a month with a gain, and I've veered off course a weekend or three. I've always aimed for 20 carbs or less a day. In the spring I started tracking carbs AND calories online. July I was tired of the scale roller coaster and went "hard core" re: calories and started by cutting my cheese intake. I still slip, and I like my cocktails, so.....

How about you, PC?

Absolutely you can to it!!!

And, I love the fact we shrink out of our clothes. As a salesperson, I am results oriented, and I LOVE putting "now they are too big" clothes into the donate pile. Clothes falling off our hips is a perk of this WOL.

You can totally do it! My goal was a size 10 before vacation and I reached it with a month to spare. I find the thought of putting on a bathing suit in public to be very motivational!

I heard Dr. Phinney say that mayo wasn't good for us because of the oils it is made with Anyone know of one that is made with good oils? I don't think I'm into making my own. Well maybe if I was making a big tuna salad and egg salad I guess it would be worth it but would much rather purchase a jar
