I'm a Taurus, but very close to Aries. I think the Aries must have crossed over to my side because I am nothing like a Taurus is supposed to be. Not that I know how an Aries is supposed to be, lol!

Same here! Being organized helps me feel better. It took me 40 years to realize it's okay, and there are others out there like me.

I was stalled prior to doing NK. I could eat at work, but I don't have a microwave, so whatever I ate would have to be cold. Not a problem. I think the problem is the fact that one day I will have lunch at 2pm, then the next day not even start work til 3 pm etc etc. It just makes it really difficult to have any sort of life. To be completely honest, I'm lost. I haven't felt like this since starting LC and the majority of the time I feel like throwing in the the towel. Thinking maybe I should just take a break from anything other than "regular" LC eating and starting adding in some exercise. Thanks for all your help

Food Log
Good morning everyone!
I had some stuff to get done yesterday and then I was way under the weather! Still feel a bit iffy this morning. I can't figure out what made me feel so bad yesterday. A headache but it wouldn't answer to aspirin or tylenol and it wasn't a migraine thank God. Whatever it was it threw off my day for my NK. Ended up around 1000 calories cause the only thing I ate was breakfast. With the headache and all I just wasn't hungry. Breakfast: CO & coffee. Breakfast2: Eggs, sausage, jalapeno, cheese. Snack: HWC Float. Calories: 986 Fat: 101 Pro: 20 Car: 4 90/9/2 |

History Of Darin: A Tidbit.
In 1996 I worked for a company called Visa Interactive. Back then the Internet was not what it is today. On-line banking was still very new and there wasn't really any such thing as today's web based on-line banking. Instead, the model back then was do do your work on your computer with a software program and then the program would log in to the bank's computers directly and upload/download information. Very clunky. Oh and there was no high-speed Internet at home. It was very expensive and DSL was still being developed. So everything was done with dial-up modems. Anyway. There were 3 levels of techs with 3 being the highest. I'd interviewed for tech 1 since I didn't have any experience but the guy doing the interview hired me as level 3 The floor wasn't huge but it had rows of people sitting side by side and back to back. Each had a computer and a phone and 3 walls on the desktop to cordon off each desk area and for sound dampening - that many people on the phone can get noisy. As tech 3, I took support calls from the queue like everyone else but I also took transfer calls from the other techs all over the floor when they were stumped on how to fix something. There were very, very few that I didn't fix and none that didn't have a happy person on the other end of the phone by the time I got them fixed up. And, as you can imagine, I started with some really angry folks occasionally. Not long after the project got started we all discovered MS NetMeeting. This very cool little program in Win95 allowed chat sessions on local networks like the one we had. So, we all would log into that and chat with each other through it while working. If the calls died out we'd all turn and face away from the desk. The guys and gals on the ends would sort of scooch inwards and we'd have sort of a group chat cracking jokes. Well. Mostly I was cracking jokes heh. We had the most popular row and we had a lot of fun. It was funny though cause one of the tech 1's from another row came to tell me he needed me to take a transfer call and he was like, hey King Darin I need you to take this call lol. I fear I must remain mostly a man of mystery. I just ended, amicably, a very long relationship with my girlfriend and despite my brave face there are some frayed ends. Along with the other life stuff in the last couple of years.
I live in Texas out towards Decatur. I've lived in Texas most of my life but out here in the country only the last 8 years or so. I've been to both coasts traveling for business years ago but I really didn't get to visit that many states. California, New York, Utah, Lousianna, Arkansas, Oklahoma, NC and SC and maybe one or two others. I was in the US Army for a spell a bajillion years ago. I was in Korea for 4 years - loved it! I'm a geek. I'm annoyingly self-satisfied with my 70 pound weight loss ![]() I take incredibly crappy pictures or I'd use one for my avatar. Either that or I am an incredibly crappy looking person. I prefer to believe the former. ![]() |

For real though, I believe Phinney when he says there is strong evidence for set-points where your body just doesn't want to shed weight. If you are at a set-point or stalled and you can lose a pound a week that is a major victory in my opinon. Relative weight doesn't really matter. I mean, if you feel like you have a lot more to lose that doesn't really matter because slow and steady wins 99.99% of the time. As long as you aren't thinking of LC as a 'diet' but as a way of living then it doesn't really matter if it comes off fast or slow and that includes stalls. |
