I like spicy but not too hot. Medium salsa or a little hotter is about my limit.

Boy howdy we went through a spell around here of super hot jalapenos! Kept buying them and having to toss them they was so hot. Then I just started getting like one or two peppers for the week and would use tiny pieces to spice up whatever I was cooking.

Port! Do you have one of those Jalapeno corers? I just got one a few months ago and it is heaven!!!

Google 'cabelas jalapeno corer' and it should be the first hit. Mine has a stainless steel looking handle though. I think it was about $7. Best money I've spent in a long time

Yes, reddarin is my name there too I think. I don't mess with it too often though. heh

In fact, last time I accidentally opened a FB page I got trapped into a long chat with a couple of highschool friends when I desperately wanted to hit the sack. But I hadn't chatted with one of them in several years and the other in a couple of years so I suffered silently with a brave face lol.

But if you send me a friend request I'll sneak in pre-dawn tomorrow and accept it

Consider the fact that you've lost 50 pounds. 50 pounds. Very few people that are overweight can and have done that. You see a lot here and on other LC boards but if you think about exactly how many overweight people there are we, including you, successful losers represent a very small number. And you kept it off for how long?

Did this hunger problem start on the 20th or the 18th or when?

How is what you are doing now different from what you were doing when you weren't hungry?

I lost 50 pounds in 5 months and have been maintaining since then (July 2012). I lost the 1st 12 pounds by doing just LC with the following averages over a weeks time (1400 cals, 92g fat, 18g carbs net and 104g protein) and then the rest was lost on LC combined with JUDDD (1070 cals, 78g fat, 14g net carbs and 73g protein-averages from a week).

I didn't log all of July, August and the beginning of September, but started to log a week ago.

The fats I'm eating are: Butter, CO, Mayo, Avocado, Pork (sausage, bacon, pork jowl) Beef, Ranch Dressing (just once thus far) that's about it.

The hunger started when I started to log again...thinking it's probably a mental thing. I log my food and there are only a few things listed, and it makes me feel like I'm not getting very much food for how many calories I'm eating and then I think I get hungry! Well, I may have just had an aww-ha moment

Could be Melissa, I can get very OCD while following any WOE, I like to obsess over it but it does make you think about food and what do I get to eat next, all the time.

The log doesn't affect me but the food threads here do. This morning I started reading through the 5 Guys Burger thread and got immediately hungry. I decided not to look at that sort of post unless i've just eaten

Double check the mayo though and make sure it is made with a true LC friendly oil not a high polyunsat oil.

Everything else looks good.

Just on the by and by, Phinney said, emphatically, that if you've lost a lot of weight like you have then a stall isn't necessarily a bad thing because it gives your body time off to adjust to your new weight.

I think I was stalled from the first of March 2012 to the 10th of September 2012 at about 205. His thinking made me feel a whole lot better about getting stuck.

Oh, here is something to cheer everyone up!

I can see the veins on my arms and the backs of my hands

The arm veins are fairly new. The hand ones I started seeing around 220 I think.

Okay, well, it cheers me up anyway

I found mine up on the second floor with the cooking stuff. It should be near the specialized popper holder baking thingies.

Which, can be tricky because the holes end up being way to big and your pepper falls through or way to small and your pepper won't sit upright. But they are a great idea.

I think maybe a sheet of hd foil might fix the too big hole size though. But I didn't buy one so I don't know if that will work.

Oh, sorry, polyunsaturated is the unhealthy type of fat. Soy oil in particular and most mayo is made with it. You'll have to google the other oils though.

I know real butter and CO are fine. I'm pretty sure Olive Oil is fine too and I always thought that she was unfairly drawn as a bean pole.

Hmm, might be something only a man would say

Any of the creams/potions and lotions that I put on my face get spread on my hands as well. They aren't great but look a lot better than some old ladies hands

Oh, love our little corner for my laughs!!! Lard is good, right? Bacon grease it good, right? Palm Oil I think is good, although I have never had that and I would guess the nut oils, like almond, mac, etc. are good?

Grew up on and around farms, we had lard, our own pork, chickens, cattle, eggs, milk, cream and used all of that to cook with, most adults in that area were lean and I don't necessarily buy into the "but they did hard labor" thing either, I think it was as much diet as anything. Portions weren't gigantic, the rare 1/2 gal of ice cream that came to our house fed our family of 6 several times as dessert, we didn't eat the whole half gallon in one sitting, or two, by ourselves!

OH, and I remember going to the cooler in the dairy barn, to skim the heavy cream off the top of the milk to use for cooking. Getting eggs fresh from the hen house, picking up 5 gallon pails of lard which had been rendered by the butcher after slaughtering a hog. We would keep that down in a cool basement, then fill a quart jar at a time which we kept in the fridge.

Wow, I sound like Laura in Little House on the Prairie now don't I?

To me, the really good thing is that you didn't go over on anything, I don't think an occasional down day will hurt as long as you are back to your normal goals tomorrow. I think it might kind of shake things up, but I really don't know.

Dunno. Not bad for a busy day really. I assume you didn't feel starved? The protein is very low, of course, but just make sure to bump your protein up for breakfast in the morning. Maybe 2 eggs with some sausage.
