DD's loved the dinner I fixed for them. They had never had green beans cooked with bacon, then HWC and butter, salt and pepper on them? I thought I fixed them that way when they were little but maybe not. We have all been "dieting" for so long. Lightly fried the tilapia in butter with just salt and pepper as well.
I'm glad it went smoothly =)

Actually, although I've lived in the South my whole life except for 6 years in the Army, I've never had gb with HWC.

When I was a youngster you couldn't force me to eat gb with new potatoes under threat of a beating heh. I was in my mid-teens before I discovered how tasty that was.

It sure will Laura. But it is an adjustment type thing. Like if your supplement is 3 pills for one dose then you'd go up one pill a day to get to your new level, e.g. 4/day 5/day 6/day.

Sort of like the way a sudden addition of CO will make you sick but if you add it gradually you'll be fine.

weigh-in 09212012

Weigh-in this morning.... 198.3

Up from yesterday but down from day before yesterday. I took a measurement and I was just a hair under the last measurement but too close to tell really.

Onward and downward!

Laura, I started out on the magnesium at 50mg a pill, took 2 the first couple of nights, no side effects, then 3, then 4, then added 2 in the AM as well. Then..................................the day before yesterday I did suffer some side effects, spent several times in the bathroom. So, I backed off to 3 of the tablets at night and will gradually build up. This morning I was feeling kind of sick, felt like my blood sugar was low, I am diabetic, but I checked, no, it was perfect. Just ate breakfast, 2 eggs and 2 bacon and almost had to force it down, just wasn't hungry but felt like I needed to get some food in me. Not sure if it is the mag or just some other quirk.

Red, I grew up in the midwest but on the farm, we had cream, butter, eggs, bacon, lard, on and on and we fixed green beans that way then. I guess by the time the kids can remember, I was always on some diet or another and would fix them plain.

Congratulations, Buffy

Ten pounds in 2 weeks is terrific. Well done. I goofed up last night with a change of plans in dinner and had already had fat bombs! Hubby brought home shrimp which I sauteed in butter and then added vegetables and it seemed like I had to keep adding oil. The scale was up a little this AM.

I'll do better today. My two weeks is Sunday AM.

Hey all! I'm Susan. May I join you? I already posted yesterday's menu on the other thread. I started doing high fat intuitively over the summer, before I knew about this WOE. ebeads posted a few links about it yesterday over in the Century Club, which is how I found you.

I've said this before but it bears repeating. Don't sweat the up and downs of everyday weigh ins. And, if you are up, it isn't necessarily what you ate or didn't eat yesterday. It is just the normal fluctuations of your weight. Just follow what you plan is all week and then log your weight once a week, you can weigh every day if you wish, just pick a day when you are going to log it somewhere. I log mine everyday at home but only am going to post it once a week in my siggy. That way you will see more of a trend. If you think you need to tweak then, maybe tweak a little but if you are seeing a downward trend, then you are doing things right.

Do you mean what your weight should be? I was just joking as in "before you had sex the first time, you were a virgin". Hope I didn't offend you, I certainly didn't mean to, I kind of have a quirky sense of humor.

Stats have not changed. My eating got screwed up yesterday. Had afternoon appointments so basically skipped lunch, but still did weights and cardio anyway. Played around with the menu so I could keep my percentages about on target. Still, I can tell I didn't eat enough yesterday because I'm starving today, but should be able to not overeat.

I've been eating a few more veggie carbs lately, because I've been eating yummy taco soup. Still under 20g though. I've been eating about 45 - 50 grams of protein these last few days. Too low? Who knows. My Insanity workout should be arriving via mail today, so if I find I don't have the correct energy level to even begin to try to get through it (I understand it's supposed to be quite hard), I'll adjust something.

Everyone is doing SO great! Congratulations on all the losses, and the non-gains (those are wins too!).

It is probably okay to overeat today and view it as an average of the two days.

Alright! What is taco soup??? That sounds super good.
