Oh, the pumpkin CC muffins turned out very good warm, can't wait to taste them chilled. If they are super good I will post them. Basically the 16 oz CC, 2 egg recipe.

Lory, for the stevia it calls for like 60drops and I use maybe 10-15. I don't have a sweet tooth, just a fat one lololol
U got to melt the butter anyways so just mix it in the warm butter it should dissolve.

Started 3 days ago, and couldn't resist the scale anymore! I stepped on this morning and have already LOST 3.2 pounds!!!

I had been stalled for 2 months, thus the reason I gave up JUDDD and joined ya'll over here!!!! It feels amazing to see the numbers going down, once again

Still not back to my July low weight of 193.8, but almost there...then onward and down!

Okay, sorry for the delay. I was doing a little research.

The formula that I use, created by Dr. Jan Kwasniewski, is:

((Height in cm)-100) +/-10% = Protein Grams [ I use the -10% number]
Fat grams = P*2.5
Carb grams = P*.5

...which results in this:

Protein range: 72-88

Daily Goals
----------
Protein: 72
Fat: 181
Carbs: 36

Total calories: 2061

Food Log

Numbers and log for today.

Calories: 1640

Fat: 145
Pro: 73
Car: 17

78/19/4

This is the first day I didn't hit the 80% target for fat

Time to tweak things a bit.

I've been trying to figure out how to set a lower calorie goal each day. The reason I didn't hit 80% today is because I wasn't hungry and the last item I was going to eat was 1oz of HWC as a float. I'd also set aside 1T of CO for a almond milk shake that I also didn't want to eat.

Since the formula is based off of minimum protein grams, I googled around trying to find some consensus on daily requirements for this macro. From what I can tell, even Dr. K, creator of the formula, doesn't closely track his protein but uses a rule of thumb for daily intake. Interesting. I guess his thinking was that for the book an ideal was necessary.

I haven't read the book and only adopted his formula for a guide on minimum protein daily but the macros worked out right too.

The USRDA (and the UK) recommend a lot less (on the order of 20g) than Dr. K. So starting tomorrow I am going to drop my target protein by about 10 grams. That will make the 80%+ much easier to hit and allow me to cut some calories that I don't want anyway.

We'll see how that works the next few days and I'll keep ya'll posted =)

Breakfast: Coffee & 4T of CO.

Lunch: CO, chicken, jalapeno, sausage, sour cream, broccoli & celery. One diet soda float (HWC).

Dinner: Pork skins, boiled egg, 2 HWC floats.

Red, I like this thinking. I am not a big meat eater and u can get protein other ways....plus eggs also....I have always been taught that we are eating way too much protein...the body doesn't need that much. (unless ur some bodybuilder or something). So my thinking has been like this all along....I just had a some lunch meat today and some dairy and of course fat....that should be enough I think for somebody that just cleans house etc....I don't work physically too much....very interested in how this pans out for you....my guess is that u will be losing faster......until u have to lower ur fat intake....

Agreed =)

The RDA range is something like 38g to 55g for a male adult and maybe 10g different for female adults.

The RDA is using the approved weight tables I'm sure, which accounts for their very low minimum.

I was able to stay under 1700 calories today with just a 2% drop in fat so I think dropping protein a few points will do the trick as far as macro ratios. The best I could do, and still miss P by two to four grams, was close to 1900 calories with some careful planning.

Red, your pie chart looks exactly like mine does most days!

My appetite is greatly reduced. Loving it. Nice to have to make sure you get enough calories instead of struggling to keep them low and being hungry!

DD's loved the dinner I fixed for them. They had never had green beans cooked with bacon, then HWC and butter, salt and pepper on them? I thought I fixed them that way when they were little but maybe not. We have all been "dieting" for so long. Lightly fried the tilapia in butter with just salt and pepper as well.
