weigh-in 09182012

Weigh-in this morning was .... 199.1!!!!

I bounced.

I wasn't surprised about that because it seemed like I looked fatter if that makes any sense. I was surprised that it wasn't a higher bounce.

I'm gonna try to tweak things a bit today. The way I've been doing it has resulted in a really big dinner meal. The broccoli, jalapeno, chicken, sausage and sour cream is my one dish meal and it is a lot. Today I am going to move part of that to the mid-day time frame.

What I have liked about the way it was is that I'd finish eating by 5:30pm and not be any sort of hungry the rest of the night.

That really appeals to me because when I was fat I *always* ate something after dinner and almost always right before going to sleep. Like while reading I'd have a snack with the book before turning out the light. So, not feeling a twinge of hunger is very satisfying on a personal level.

On the bright side, despite my flagrant act of updating my profile stats yesterday and my defiant stance on keeping my body hair, I am still under 200

Oh!! I almost forgot lol

One reason I wasn't too freaked out about the small bounce is that my measurement is down *again*.

41.5" level across the belly button.

That is down a full inch from the last time I measured when I bounced.

That is down 2.5" TWO AND A HALF INCHES since the 10th of this month.

heh

If you aren't measuring - start measuring. The measure won't lie. It won't be affected by spurious water weight gain. It will shore you up when the scale is screaming that you are a failure. Even if your measurement is the same it still means the scale is lying about the weigh gain.

Dang it. It does. Unrefined cane sugar. Which gives it 4g of carbs net.

I'm glad I posted the picture. Good catch portcop01

Wait a while, then see if you are still hungry or just wanting to chew something? Last night was a perfect example, I thought I was hungry but really, I just wanted to eat something. So, I ate about 3 pork rinds and that did the deed. Kind of have to reteach ourselves how we really "feel", it is really hunger or just that habit of wanting to eat?

One night I took a T of grass fed butter, ate it very slowly, letting it melt in my mouth, little by little. Hmmm, who needs popcorn, it's that wonderful butter taste I am after. Sure, I missed the crunch but even after 2 weeks I can tell I am changing in how I feel my satisfaction from food.
Thanks Buffy,

I'm not new to low carbing, started in 2004, but that was low carb/low fat. After all the low fat brainwashing it is very difficult to get yourself to increase fat intake. I have though and log everything into ******. It is difficult to make yourself believe that eating fat does not make you fat. I'm wondering if it is making me fat. I have gotten my protein down to 65 grams for the last couple of days and wondering if that is ok or healthy ...

Confused About Fat Bombs

Which recipe are you using. Mine is 600 calories. By one fat bomb, do you mean you are eating the entire recipe? My recipe lists 4 T. CO, 2 T HWC, 2 T. unsweetened cocoa powder....

Cut the CO today and tomorrow and let's see if that changes the hunger issue. Substitute some other fat for those calories.

If you post your menu we can try to tweak it for non-CO fat.

A diet soda float is a good almost all fat item. It is something like 1T to 12oz of soda. I use 1oz in my glass and keep refilling with soda. Very, very tasty.

Several days ago you posted that you were eating around 1200 to 1300 calories. Were you experiencing hunger like this then?

When I was eating 1200-1300 calories I wasn't hungry. I was mostly doing Fast 5 type eating, where I would eat in a 5-6hr window of time. Now I eat all day long!!! Maybe, I will go back to an eating window... been waking up hungry in the morning, which is very unusual for me. Hmmmm not sure what is going on.

I don't see why that wouldn't work with the focus on macros being high fat, moderate protein and low carb.

You weren't eating CO then either were you? Maybe give that a go with CO in your day and see what happens. There are a lot of health benefits with CO so it is worth knowing if it really is what is making you unusually hungry.

In going back over my last couple weeks of ******, I am noticing a trend. Whole foods and dairy. Has anyone else noticed this from their logs? Cream cheese, HWC, and sour cream I beleive are the only things dairy. Meats, LC veggies, eggs. Anyway, thought I would make an observation.

So far my stats-
fat-66.9
carb-8
pro-23.5
cal-739

My weight has not moved in a few days, so I am going to try and lower my cals to under 1700. The 2000+ days I feel have stalled me.

Let us know how it goes when you weigh-in

I'm tweaking my routine a bit today too. I think it will be much better the new way of high calories breakfast and lunch and then tapering off towards dinner.

Just checking in. Busy day.
B was 1 whole egg, plus 2 egg yolks, fried. Good but hate to waste the egg white, think I will just stick with 2 eggs fried. 1 almond flour muffin, toasted with butter. Coffee with CO. Didn't get hungry until after 12, so ate then. The coffee and CO is all I am wanting in the AM I am finding.

DD had a great first day yesterday, I am so proud of her. It is hard to do when you have a family and a very demanding job.

Heh, yeah, I cracked a joke once about putting straps on a couple of scales and using them as house shoes.

Glad you asked I had really let myself fall into a very crappy woe, my diabetic meds were doing a decent job of keeping my BG numbers where they needed to be and I was just being lazy, although, I KNEW that in the long run, I was hurting myself and my liver, pancreas, etc. I also felt tired, old, run down, etc. The kicker was that I kept getting UTI infections over and over and suspected that I had sugar spilling over into my urine.

Decided to get back to LC and when I got to looking around on the boards I found Kristn's challenge and read up on that and got very interested. Started in and wow, what a difference. Feel much better, sleeping better, BG wonderful every time I take it and a small loss of weight. And, totally satisfied with the food. I did lower my meds just a little to compensate so that I don't go too low. I go to the endo late this month and will have blood work and will get to see what my A1C says, which is an average of your BG numbers for the past 3 months. It will be somewhat skewed but next time should be really great.

Buffy, that is wonderful news. I had my BS rise to 115 at my last blood work. I also have fatty liver. I did so much research on FL and found lower protein, low carb, and exercise was the ticket to repairing the liver. With the issue of my BS, the weight loss has to help both problems. I will add to this I am a BC survivor since I ended radiation mid May. I NEED my health back.
