Don't unless you are hungry Lory. One day every now and then out of whack isn't going to matter much =)

Usually it is over beside the peanut butter. At Wal-Mart there is only one or two columns so it is easy to miss.

Hmmm.

You can just make coconut bark. 3T of CO. 1T of cocoa. Sweeten to taste. It's good with butter added in too.

Hey if you don't have a silicone thing to freeze them in just line your bowl with foil. Mix ingredients in the measuring cup you used to melt CO then pour into bowl.

It will stick to the container like crazy when it is frozen otherwise. Unless maybe you can flex the dish.

Excuse me barging in
I'm going to repost this here to see if any of you have noticed this discrepancy with the Nova Max meter:

Quote:
After reading this thread I was curious so I sent off for the Nova Max and received it within a few days.
I just tested blood sugar and it read me really high! (143 when the other 2 test in the low 70s fasting, which is normal for me)
So used the control solution and it registered that high as well.
For continuity, I decided to test on all 3 of my meters at the same time and the difference is really wide on the NM one.
(the trutest is calibrated with my dogs vet as within 2 points and the trutest and freestyle always read within 5-7pts of each other).
Now I'm wondering how "accurate" the ketone test will be if the blood sugar test is so far off the mark.
Has anyone else done a comparison test with a meter you know is accurate?
Or did I get a bad meter from nova? (ignore the times on the image below, I never set them lol- approximately 2 hours after a late breakfast today).

Dottie, I just checked with my Accu-Chek which is what I use all the time for BG and with the Nova Max. Same drop of blood, 80 on Accu-Chec and 96 on Nova Max. I know different meters will read differently but will try to ask the nurse about them or take them both in next time I go to my endo.

Calories 1920
Fat 159g 75%
Carbs 32.4g 6%
Fiber 15.6g
Protein 87.4 19%

Protein is a little high, but it's my 1st day... how does it look?
Well, that didn't quite go as planned! I WAS SO HUNGRY!! Why in the world was I so hungry?

I added a hard boiled egg w/mayo, a few pistachios and almonds, a couple more fat bombs and some hot cocoa made w/HWC. Ugh. I'm guessing my calories are closer to 2600...the great part is, tomorrow is a new day!

Hmmm.

I was reading a thread the other day and some of the ladies that posted said that coconut oil made them hungry as all get out. They were adamant that when they consumed CO it made them hungry.

Cut the CO today and tomorrow and let's see if that changes the hunger issue. Substitute some other fat for those calories.

If you post your menu we can try to tweak it for non-CO fat.

A diet soda float is a good almost all fat item. It is something like 1T to 12oz of soda. I use 1oz in my glass and keep refilling with soda. Very, very tasty.

Several days ago you posted that you were eating around 1200 to 1300 calories. Were you experiencing hunger like this then?
