Now for the challenge of working these numbers.
I'd say the most important number is Protein. Even if you eat your max amount your calories are going to be low and you'll be hungry. Just fill in the rest with fat.

Eating fatty protein can be a good way to keep both numbers up and tweak the percentages with pure fat to get the ratios right.

heh I don't know about girlie figure numbers but 1/2 is excellent in my opinion.

I'm a real convert to taking periodic measurements. Water weight or not going to the bathroom won't mess with measurements like it will the scale.

Morning All-
Port, you are doing fantabulous yourself. I am with others, rely on the measure tape on days when you don't lose or even gain. It keeps you going!
Red- Woot woot! Way to keep on plan and get to onederland!

I am down 1 more pound this AM, depsite the 2500 calorie intake yesterday! I did not sleep very well last night, so I was worried that the scale would be up. I am one lucky gal.

Yep, I don't worry too much about the calories short of constantly high numbers =)

Man alive. I had gotten lazy about my magnesium supplements but corrected that when I joined this thread and I've been sleeping like a rock the last several days. I think I am up to 600mg a day now.

I started taking magnesium (400 mg) earlier this week per your recommendation, Red. I took it the first time at night, but I had, um, issues. So now I take it as part of my morning regime. Already it's not causing problems every single day, so in a few weeks, I will probably up it a bit. I take Trazodone at night to help me relax and sleep, and it works great. I probably can't stop taking that because it also helps with my mood, but I'd like to take magnesium at night too when my body is tolerating it better.

lol

Yeah. Sensitivity to it varies from person to person but from what I've read everyone can acclimate.

Once you are used to it switch back to nighttime dosing if you can. One of its properties is to relax you so it makes you sleep better. I've been taking one or two pills during the day and then two more close to bed time.

You made it! Onderland is as close to me as you were before in Tooterville, right? We are neighbors everyone, well, sorta of, TX is a huge state but we are fairly close. I am so happy for you. I am getting close too, had a loss today but won't post until Monday, so hoping I can hang onto it till then.

It was almost anti-climatic since I've waited so long to break the 200 mark.

My favorite stainless steel tbs measure is the last thing I clean, I use it for the CO measuring during the day and at dinner, so I weigh out 1oz into the glass and keep refilling with rootbeer =)

Well. 1oz or .5oz or whatever hits the right number on the log.

My range is 75 to 91 for protein. I bumped up the sausage yesterday and again today.

I started on the 10th at 203.6 and this morning was 199.1 so 4.5 pounds in 5 days so far. Tomorrow might lower that number if I go up instead of staying the same or losing.

I started on sept 3rd and as of this morning have lost 7.8 lbs.

Your calories do seem low today but mine are a little higher than I wanted. Hope as I get into this I can have some higher calorie days but still scared to raise them to much. If I get to losing insane amount of weight each week , I will raise them. Don't hold your breath

Yeah, I've seen several people in the other thread that are eating a lot of protein but they are using that estimated LBM method and the ranges are higher.

The first two days I had to work on getting my protein up to close to the minimum by the formula I use. That is why the first (second?) day my calories were 2400ish.

=)

I love the floats. You can use pretty much any flavor of diet soda you want except for citrus flavors I reckon.

Give me a min and I'll look at the numbers you posted a little while ago =)

After watching an episode of Laverne and Shirley this week, i tried diet Pepsi w/HWC over crushed ice. It was delish. And to think all those years I turned my nose up in disgust when I saw Laverne drink Pepsi and Milk.
