Ileen - Girl, you better be letting us live vicariously through you on refeed day and posting what you get to eat!

In all fairness, it wasn't a "one size fits all" kind of plan, as heavy people did get more to eat. But, with that said, it sure wasn't a healthy way to lose, that's for sure!

Great news:

I got my biweekly feedback from Erik this afternoon. He's pleased with my 1st two weeks, is impressed with my ability to stay on my food plan, and has given me one free meal a week, on training days!

OMG, what am I going to have for my first one? I want it to be good, but I also want it to be on the healthy side. No Big Macs for me! Japanese sounds good! Or maybe some homemade Chinese, or homemade gumbo, or....

The anticipation of a cheat meal is probably way better than actually having one!

Thanks Ileen!

Today was LB. My legs were already sore from yesterday's run (who knew that 15 minutes of running could cause this much soreness?), so I'm sure that they'll be really sore tomorrow! Hopefully not, because I've got to run again then.

Still pondering my free meal. I can have one tonight, but now that I can have one, I don't know if I even want one! I know, I know, I'm crazy! It's just that I'm so focused on eating well that the idea of a free meal just seems wrong, even though it's allowed. Meh, I have time to decide what I'm going to do.

What are everyone's weekend plans? We're supposed to go to Talledega Sunday for the race, which means more food prep for me. It's still iffy because of the weather. Not sure what we'll do if we don't go to the race. Maybe actually get started on the mantel?

Laura, Great job with your results! I don't do too well with a free meal.. I have probelms with portion and control. eeek!

I emailed Erik yesterday and gave him a heads up that i'll be sending him a check really soon I am needing that extra.. something... I can;t wait to get started. I am only going to hire him for nutrition.. I am thinking right now I'm doing pretty good in the gym.

Tonight after work I have LBWO too.. I cant wait.. sort of. I'll be tired, but I have my energy drink waiting for me in the fridge..

Maybe I'll just do a deviation then, and not a full-blown free meal. I'm thinking shrimp & veggie stir fry with my brown rice. Jami having it last night has me jonesin' for some. Yum, yum!

Did you hear about the nasty storms we're supposed to have tomorrow? Hail, possible tornados, you name it. Methinks I should do my run tonight and make sure I get everything we could possibly need this weekend, grocery wise just to be on the safe side.

Laura - how fun. I am not ready for a cheat meal yet. After my Monday weigh in, I will have mine but it too will be on the healthy side. I am thinking a huge salad (like steak or bbq chicken) with full fat dressing and a cocktail of my choice.

Today is just a cardio day for me. I am going lower carb/calorie this weekend in preparation for Monday.

This weekend I will probably go to a Lia Sophia jewerly party, gym, and a girl's night dinner at Pink Taco at our Hard Rock Hotel. The thing that sucks is I won't be able to drink. Oh well, I would rather see lower numbers on the scale.

I posed in front of my hubby last night in a few of my bikinis. He said he can definitely see that I am not as soft and definitely leaner. Yay! I listen to him b/c he is so brutally honest with me that sometimes I wish he weren't. LOL! But even if I wanna cry afterwords, he won't lie to me. hehehe

Ileen! Geez girl! You look amazing! Your hamstrings and glutes are very nice. I can see a difference even from the pics you shared from when you were in Florida! Good JOB!!
I am counting down until I start with ERIK.. May is an expensive month for me. DS is going to Washington D.C. with his class.. and his Birthday is at the end of May as well.

Ayana, have you been taking pics too?? Are you going to share?? My DH can never tell the difference with me.. I just dont think he really pays attention.

Ayana, I think having a real cheat meal right after you weigh in is the best possible time to have one! That's my plan of attack too!

Brutally honest husbands are definitely both good and bad, aren't they? Good in that you can always count on them to tell you the truth, but bad because sometimes you wish they would tell a few little white lies to keep you happy. WTG with him noticing that you're getting leaner!

my free meals (or currently refeeds)are always after biweekly reports and not before..

Jami, that's exciting!

Ayana! awesome that hubby gave the approval

Refeed day for me and I havent planned it.. spent all day yesterday running my 16yo to dr's and then the ER all evening for an absessed tonsil which has been a horrid experience for him

he is MUCH better today! He ate for the first time in a week.. he's up and talking and shouting to his bud on his vid game..

YEP refeeding. yesterday was totally on plan even though i ate 4 meals together lol..

FREE MEAL ALERT!!!

I went ahead and had my free meal last night. I kept it on-plan for the most part by making a shrimp and veggie stir-fry over brown rice. It was yum-my! Then, I splurged by having a bit of 85% dark chocolate for dessert. It was heavenly!

I tallied up my totals just to see how they compared to my on-plan meal, and didn't do too bad. My total cals were 666 (a sign? I hope not! ),
fat: 22g, carbs: 58g, and protein: 52g. Ratios broke down to 31% F/32% C/38% P. My meal came in 232 calories over my on-plan meal. I can live with that!

I've got to start cooking up a storm here. We're going to my in-laws for dinner (and to drop off Jordan and Sadie for tonight/tomorrow) and I'm making them ziti with spagetti sauce, garlic bread, and cookie bar brownies to take over. I also need to prep my food, both to take over there, as well as my food for tomorrow, as we're going to the Nascar race in Talledega, AL.

Ileen - Great minds think alike! I'm planning my next free meal for this coming Monday, so I have plenty of time to get rid of any "extra" before my next biweekly on Tuesday the 4th!

Enjoy your refeed, and make sure you tell us all about it!

I'm so happy to see that AJ's finally starting to feel better. You must be so relieved.

I know, me too! They're so good, but alas, not on plan at all. They're for everyone else for dessert. I get nada until after we get back home, and I can have meal #5 - my yummy yogurt & my PP and PB concoction.

Hi Guys... well, I've been in Daytona since Tuesday. Oh my... will I ever get over this???

I have NOT been on plan with anything. Tuesday was good, Wednesday was good and it started going to hell from there. I've had wine and carbs and I'm miserable... it is amazing to see what it affects... you forget how awful food can be... that it's NOT just food... it's drugs.

I've done lots of walking, I've taken the steps 2 at a time but that's it for exercise and the eating is just awful. Tomorrow is the family reunion and then the long drive home. I'm so ready for home and 'normal' and routine. Wonder how long the purge will take??? Wonder what all I've lost????

Oh well.... Thank goodness this only comes once a year!

Good Morning everyone! HAPPY SUNDAY!! Just 12.5 hours until I'm off work... Let the count down begin..
Karla~ You'll get back on plan and feel great in a few day! I does stink when you go off.. I have morning regrets a lot... from bad decisions the night before, and it ALWAYS stems around alcohol!! I dont think I can ever stay OP if I even had one glass of anything.. Its evil... I agree, it is a drug.. addictive, and it can send you in a downward spiral... It lies to you,.. anyways, can you tell that I've had issues too?!
LOL

Another countdown I want to share is 9 MORE DAYS UNTIL BFL IS OVER!! sad because I really think I could have done a better job with it! I wish My eating was better. I wish I would have worked harder and did more cardio.. I KNOW I could have had better results. I did work hard at it, BUT I didn't work to my full potential.

I have to echo Enola! you are quite pretty!! do you have starting pictures from the beginning of your journey!

Holding onto muscle is all we can really hope for when dieting.. you'll have time to build when you reach goal if you chose.
