Under the covers? That's even funnier!

I am so excited!!! I know this is a stupid thing to be so excited about, but here goes:

Upthread, I mentioned how I'd love to have a sourdough English muffin with some SF preserves as part of my PWO snack. When I went to the grocery store, I found the muffins, so I checked them out - 140 cals, .5 grams of fat, & 27 grams of carbs. Perfect PWO food, so I tossed them into the cart, thinking that I'd figure out a way to make some homemade SF jam concoction to put on them. I happened to go by the jellies and jams, and picked up a jar of Polander SF + fiber preserves - 10 cals, 0 grams of fat, and 5 grams of carbs per tbsp. Paired with the sourdough muffin, this will make a perfect (and delicious) PWO snack!

And the coup de gras? A coupon fairy left a $1.00 off coupon for a jar right next to the one I picked up!

Is it Wednesday yet?

Sometimes it really is the little things in life that make us happy...

Thanks, A! This is really wonderful after trying for so long on my own. Sometimes the answer isn't "just eat more fat", you know?

Jami - I've never even heard of english muffin bread much less had it. It sounds yummy though! I English muffins and I really sourdough. Put them both together and....

I know - variety is the key (a healthy variety that is). Tonight for dinner, because of the workout I am having, is whole wheat pasta w/marinara sauce and a sausage.

Ileen, I made the muffins. I used 40g oats, 4 egg whites and blueberries. I was only to fill 6, well, 5 1/2 muffin cups.. I ate them all I was stuffed, but I fell asleep right after lol

Ileen~ No Way! LOL How funny!

Hey everyone. I just wanted to share that I am going to do Lyle McDonalds Stubborn fat protocol for the remainder of the program try for 3 days a week. I'm not sure what else to do to get the fat off my thighs, but I have heard a lot of people have great success with it.. Basically , in a fasted state... you perform HIIT, 1 minute work, 1 minute rest for 10 minutes, rest for 5 minutes, then do 30-45 minutes steady state/moderate intensity cardio. Fingers crossed it gets me to where I need to be! Have a great night everyone!

Today was the first workout I had to miss since I started BFL.. I am feeling a little bit depressed about it. I guess just pick up where I left off.

I read that in Lyles Article about being very lean... Im only going to do this for a couple weeks.. Last attempt to bust some fat cells!
I read a couple things that contraindicated itself though, maybe you can help me clear it up.. One was do go all out for 10 minutes. The next one said, you can do HIIT work 1 min, rest 1 min.. for 10 minutes. ??? What do I do?? Do I just run all out for the 10 minutes, or do I do it in intervals? I got the rest and sit for 5 before resuming ss cardio..

there might be a different in that he supposedly updated that protocol.

I've read short intervals.. I forgot what i did last yr lol...........

so it can be 30/30 i gather (those are short) ALL OUT for 5-10 min..

careful just haphardly just throwing in things to the mix...

i'd caution being careful with the additonal herbs.. and start with 1/2 doses to make sure you are ok with them.

I've done it with both ways and not sure i saw much of a difference but i'd only done it once a week for a few weeks, post refeed day/ psmf like type day and i was very lean at the time..

I dont have any of those supplements.. actually and Im probably not going to buy them either. I have bought so much crap over the last couple months, im not going to buy anything else. I take Atro-phex every morning before the gym and it gives me energy.. plus I drink coffee..
Last night I had a free meal.... so that being said, I am very motivated to get to the gym this morning and bust it out!

Morning everyone!

Quick drive by as today's going to be a busy day. It's my anniversary, and DH took the day off so that we can spend it together! I'm letting him sleep in while I eat breakfast, check the boards, and then get my workout in. Today's UB, and then my much anticipated PWO snack - sourdough Englsih muffin with raspberry SF preserves!

For dinner, we're going to our favorite Japanese restaurant (I already cleared this with Erik). He gave me the okay to have some miso soup (ours here is just a clear broth with mushrooms), salad, and hibachi veggies along with my scheduled brown rice (I'm actually bringing my own) and shrimp. Not much of a cheat, but one that I'm looking forward to nontheless!

Okay, I better get it in gear. Hope you all have a great day!

Laura, Happy Anniversary! Hope it's a great day for you. Lovely weather!

And Jami, Happy Anniversary next Sunday. I'll be on vacation so I might miss sending you well wishes at the time.

Yesterday was strange for me. Not a lot of energy and food cravings. Don't know where those came from. And it wasn't for anything 'bad', but I wanted bananas!!! I ended up eating two. Gave myself the old excuse that my body was craving something healthy because there was something I needed.:blush:

Yesterday's workout didn't go so well either. My eating was all off... I'd been running errands and the time window where I got home for lunch and then the workout were too close. I did UB again. Really wanted to push it, but don't think I did as well as I could have if I hadn't been so full from lunch still.

Might have to learn Jami's trick about eating in bed to get my feedings on schedule... (Still love that mental imagine! You are one dedicated soul! )

Today I won't make it to the gym as I have to muck out the dog yard. Yay me... But it's a great work out and it comes with fresh air and sunshine, so I'll call it healthy and move on.

Y'all have a great day and I'll check back later to see what ever one else is up to!

Karla~ Thank you, in advance as well.. I hope you have a great vacation day! Do you get the whole weekend off?? Isn't it super special when that happens! You'll get 11 days off!! At least you were craving good for you things. I crave bad stuff... I hope you will be feeling better, and that your next workout will be explosive!

I just got home from the gym. I did my first Stubborn fat loss protocol thing and all i can say is Holy Crap! It was tough.. but I just kept saying "Im tougher" A quote I saw on another website.. It worked. I kept pushing through...
SO, I started on the Stationary bike. I did a 3 minute warm up, then on my 3rd minute I peddled like I have never peddled before, for 15 seconds.. then, very slowly peddled for 45 seconds and repeat. I did that until I got to minute 10.. I seriously could hardly walk right.. My legs felt like noodles and my quads were extremely tight. Then I sat, sipped on water for 5 minutes, and then jogged on the tready for 30 minutes. The first 15 minutes was really hard. I felt like I had to pull energy from the deepest of places in my body, then all of a sudden, I got this huge burst of energy, and it was easy after that. I sprinted the last minute and then had a cool down. WOW, I feel great now.
Drinking a whey protein shake.

It is so gorgeous out! The most beautiful day I have seen yet. The air is so fragrant from the tree blossoms, and the birds are singing.. Dont you love spring??!!

I have new measurements for my trainer this week--35-28.5-36.25 and 133.4 pounds. that's down a couple of inches and pounds from last week. He also said I could stop by anytime I want to have my bf% checked for free, which I thought was nice of him. So, I might stop by next week, depending on my work schedule.

Had a good workout last night, upper body, plus 10 minutes elliptical, 10 minutes bike, 10minutes treadmill.

Rachel, I know you're thrilled to see those numbers changing. Congrats!

Jami, I'm working this weekend and then off the weekend of the 24th/25th. It will be a nice change. My husband, oldest son, and daughter leave for Fla. this Sunday. Eric (second son) and I will drive down Tuesday. He has to work Monday and I have dance rehearsal Monday night so we are hanging back till Tuesday a.m.

Finished cleaning out the huge dog pen. Oh my... Guess I'm really glad I've been working out so that I don't completely die from that! It's been dry here for many days and I was just sure it was a good time to move all that old straw. Well, surprise, surprise... the underneath was STILL wet, gross and smelly... Took me 3 hours with rake, shovel and uncooperative wheelbarrow.

My whole body knows I 'did something'... but I made sure I tightened every thing as I moved around and used it as my exercise for the day. Now I'm showered, (Thank you Lord!) and I've had my strawberry protein shake. Time to go work at the dance studio now!

Y'all have a great rest of the day.

A quick hello - I did a killer leg wo last night along with HIIT. Yes I hauled a** on the running parts. Then I hit the sauna - love the sauna.

I felt like I cheated when I had my whole wheat pasta with a little spicy sausage. Oh well - stayed in my calories.

Later.........

Wow, quiet day in here yesterday...
We were busy. We had to go to kansas city to buy a new jeep!! So much fun! We spent the whole afternoon driving around, enjoying the weather.. I didn't think we were going to be out so long. so, we went out to eat twice, and eat time I had french fries.. and a glass of wine... M3 was a Winsteads Steak burger with fries... then I had a Buffalo Chicken wrap with fries for M4... Dont you all LOVE morning regrets!! I hate it. I'll be dwelling on this all day now. LOL I did not do good this week with my workout, or eating. You all need to line up and kick me once for being so stupid! Espcially this close to the end of the challenge

Karla~ YUCK!! I hate cleaning out dog pens!!! That WAS a gross job... I was feeling ok about it when you were saying how dry it was, then the wet under the straw! All the poop fermented.. blech, and barf.. LOL
Sounds like you have a very busy week coming up!

A~ Dang girl! You are a hard worker!!! Good job on your workouts! I can barely do any cardio after I do LB, so Kudos GF!!

Jami- WTG on your SFLP! Great, now you've got me wanting a bike for my home gym! Did you get a new new jeep, or just a new to you jeep? What color is it? Pics to share with the class? What the heck are you doing eating like that this close to the end of your challenge? Not trying to make you feel bad, just giving you the kick you asked for!

Karla - mucking out the dog yard is a workout!, so don't beat yourself up about missing one. You back on track with your meals?

Rachel - WTG with your new measurements and scale loss!

Afuentes - Oooh, I love leg days paired with HIIT! Did your legs feel like noodles at the end? Mine always do!

Yesterday was a really wonderful day! I had an awesome UB workout, and then had my much anticipated PWO snack. That English muffin with it's skim coat of raspberry SF Polaner preserves was heavenly!

David gave me the best cards - a hilarious funny one and a really sweet one that he wrote the most heartfelt note in. He also gave me the garnet (my birthstone) and diamond white gold ring that I've had my eye on as well as a new watch. This is in addition to Erik's services. What a sweetie my guy is! I think I'll keep him! I'll post pics of the funny card and my ring when I get a chance.

We went out and did some shopping, and then went out for our Japanese hibachi dinner. I was good, and brought my brown rice, and ate nothing other than the stuff Erik okayed - the clear miso soup, the salad (which is a free food for me, so that wasn't a cheat) and the hibachi veggies, along with my on-plan shrimp. Even without the shrimp sauce that I dearly love, the food was so good. After that, we went to Scooters (local bar) to play Team Trivia. We hung out with some friends and visited for awile, and won first place in the game. I was good, and didn't drink anything alcoholic - just water - while DH had a few beers.

It wasn't the most romantic anniversary we've had in terms of location, but it was still a really nice one.

Yes my legs felt like noodles after leg/HIIT. Yesterday I just walked 3 miles with my work walking club.

Today I do upper body and then Alan's 8strikes kickbox class!!!

Have a great day!!!!
