Gotta deadlifts with a good, heavy weight to activate those glutes.

Food was 100% on plan, and came in as follows per ******:

Calories 1,726
Fat 45.6 (23 %)
Carbohydrate 156.9 (37 %)
Dietary Fiber 20.9
Protein 169.0 (40 %)

OMG, I made the best little legal snack - 2 tbsp (30 g) natural peanut butter + 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder + enough water to thin it out a bit. I put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes, and OMG, it tasted just like a Reece's cup! Tonight, I think I'll use a bit less water, and roll them into balls and flatten them before freezing them.

Luvin the legal snacks!

Twyla! How are you and your mom doing?

Ileen - I get to have it every night with my protein powder and a CarbMaster yogurt for this two-week cycle. It looks likes Erik's slowly tapering my calories down, since he had me eating 2000 while he was getting my plan together, and right around 1700 now.

I guess I better enjoy it while I can, right? You're jealous of my PB, and I'm jealous of your rockin' body. Wanna trade? I didn't think so!

That is what I thought. I know I have done different number of sets for different purposes.

The Extreme Whey isn't thick IMO. I love it. I keep hearing about the Gourmet. Might have to give it a try. Love to check out new things. The Extreme Whey doesn't use Aspartame but I will check all the ingredients.

Laura that snack sounds delightful.

Today I will be doing legs and then I will be taking a kickboxing class - Alan's 8Strikes. Love it.

I am starving already and I had my proatmeal and coffee at 7am. It is 9:50am! I thought I could last longer - guess not.

YEP!! I love the gourmet! It is great!!

I have those days too where I am starving! Maybe you can back off the carbs and increase the fat for the rest of your meals. That helps me.. Sometimes I add some Extra Virgin coconut oil to my coffee.

Laura~ YUM on the PB snack!! That sounds great! My new protein powder is peanut butter chocolate. When I mix it up for a shake it reminds me of a PB cup blizzard. SO GOOD>>

Thanks Jami. I usually do carbs only in the morning. However, I haven't been consuming as much fat, at least for me (coming from Atkins and all). But I still get enough. I will try the CO in coffee. I have heard of it on the boards but never tried it.

I'm lame - I just use chocolate or vanilla PP. Mostly because I like mixing other things into it, so I like having a basic flavor to start off with.

I can't wait to make those protein PB thingies tonight! I think I'll save just a tad of the PP so that I can roll the balls in it before flattening them out. I'll let ya'll know how that goes.

Okay, I have got to get going. I need to do my cardio, shower, eat, then go with DH to go buy the wood for our mantle. Then eat again!

Ileen, were you bulking over winter? How long do you bulk? wait.. you had 1700 in one meal! Oh my goodness!! LOL I would love that plan!

Laura~ that seems to be a good level... I have been eating clean all week, no off plan food which for me is HUGE. Already my jeans are hanging today. I keep having to pull them up..

about my "highest weight I have ever been" the other day. it was TOM. I haven't had TOM visit me for 7 months now, new bc pills. SO in 7 months, I haven't really had large scale flux, or bloating.. I guess, this one time... I'll take it. BUT just this once. hehe

Ok.. My computer day is drawing to an end. DH will be home in 15 minutes, and that means the computer gets handed over to him. He's going to school online right now.. SO he is a computer hog. I'll check in with my phone later tonight. SO be prepared for bad spelling and grammar. HAHA

Tomorrow is Friday. Back to the work weekend, which im sure will be great! not...

Tomorrow late afternoon is LBWO..

Wait, am I understanding this correctly? You had PB in a meal and then more scattered, or you had that many calories in a meal?

I was actually very surprised to see PB in my plan at all, much less every night, but Erik's managing to keep my fat pretty low, so I'm not going to question it. I'll enjoy every last bit, because who knows, it may be gone with my next updated menu plan.

WTG on eating clean all week! You better get a belt on those jeans - or maybe some smaller jeans - before you start flashing everyone!

Good to know that TOM was the culprit. Man, I have not had TOM for 2 and a half years, shortly after I had my Mirenia IUD "installed" (DH's term). All that goes with TOM is distant memory. Hopefully I can keep one in until I hit menopause, and never have to worry about TOM again.

Ileen, you're making me nostalgic. The first time I bulked up from 198 to 220 to be at the top of the 220 weight class in PLing, I used to eat four king-size Snickers bars and a half-gallon of whole milk as my post-workout meal. 3240 calories, 176 grams of fat, 364 grams of carbs, 100 grams of protein. Ah, the good ol' days.

omgosh.. N000000000 , i didnt have that many calories in a meal!

Burp I WISH!

I had 30g of pb in meal and a few other meals with 20-30g in it.. an eggyolk in the am..

my bulk was only a 12lbs gain LOL

My cals were just slightly above maintenance so i gained it V E R Y S L O W.

The more carbs you have, the less fat you'll have.. as it swamps, depending on the person and plan,, that changes and you'll get more fat.. Not everyone can handle as many carbs but i seem to do ok.

Which is why you look the way you do, and I eventually turned into a fatty googenheimer. You can get away with those dirty bulks for a while, but it catches up to you.

I think most of us feel great on a clean bulk. I had 2 free meals a week and trust me, they included lots of junk i didnt eat otherwise.

Distant memory is a great thing..

Speaking of belt. Last night at the restaurant DH kept having to tell me to pull my shirt down.. usually i am very aware of the Crack, and panty flash.. but apparently my jeans were sliding down and you could see, stuff... LOL I would pull them up before I sat down, but they kept slouching.. I dont think I am at a smaller dress size yet.. so I'll wait. Plus sometimes they fit again...

Day #3 went perfectly! Ate exactly on plan, and did only the amount of cardio that Erik allows, even though I so wanted to do more...

I've only got two menus right now - one for lifting days and one for cardio/off days, so it's getting easier to whip up my meals more quickly. I cooked a bunch of stuff ahead of time so that all I have to do is grab it out of the fridge and heat it up.

Today is UB, with a few LB exercises thrown in. I'm still incredibly sore from Wednesday's LB workout, so doing the LB stuff should be fun. I'm thinking that getting some Epsom salts would be a good idea.

Thank You Twyla!! Im just so happy that I had the support and guidance from you and a few others when I started!!

Laura~ Great job with your new plan!! Im sure you are loving it! I know I love a new start.. You are so good!!! I need to cook up things a head of time to make it easier. I buy that tyson frozen diced chicken breast and a few min in the micro its done and ready.. I think cottage cheese has become my new best friend as well.
HAHA!! As my friends daughter would say. Butt Cack... DH was the butt cack monitor for the night. I am pretty aware of butt cack peek a boos, but sometimes they accidentally happen. Its funny how many people butts I see just at the grocery store. I always put my hand on my pants when I bend over, Some people let it all hang out.

[
This was me by the way.. I know! How embarassing.

Hi Y'all. Last night was boot camp; my second one. It was interesting. I did 'real' pushups. A whole 7!

I'm going to go back and look at the posts about the protein power that tastes like PB. I'm really enjoying my different 'takes' on using vanilla but PB... without the added fat of real PB... yes!

Today the scale remains in the 163 point something. I'm good with stable at this point.

Glad everything is going so well for so many!

Laura, exciting to read about your 'walk' with Erik. Sore huh? Epsom salt soak sounds like a plan. Changing subjects... will you be posting pics of the fire place remodel? Oh, and how many times a day DO you eat?

Jami, flashing your 'business' huh? Looks like a belt is in order!
