BODYOPUS

New to the forum but have been a long time low carb. I have been on the bodyopus for nearly three years. Does anybody else out here do this? It seems it was big then people actually realized that the diet is a PAIN IN THE ASS ( but it works). Just wondering.

Sounds interesting. Is there a link to an outline of the plan? (The Cliff's Notes version for the curious.)

You can still get the book online at Amazon or many other places online. The book is very detailed and precise with the diet. The guy who wrote the book is the infamous Dan Duchaine of The Anabolic Bible. This guy basically tried steroids and bodybuilding drugs to see what it what do and wrote a book telling what worked and did not.

The Bodyopus diet is not easy and in no way for everybody if followed-TO THE T. I did the diet exactly like the book for two months then eased up. I actually found it easier mentally to use it as a guide to a low carb/high fat/ mod protein way of life.

The beauty of the diet is the added benefit of putting on good weight ( lean muscle mass). The more muscle you have..you know the rest. The problem with Atkins and South Beach is that it does not take into account that some of us who want to lose weight also want to be stronger and leaner at the same time. Another similar book is The Anabolic Solution by Pasquale. Similar idea but way less strict.

I hope this helps. The diet works. I started at 460 and walk around at 220 at about 10%. I just want to increase my weight and get leaner and leaner. Never satisfied.

Thanks for the link. I know this kind of diet works. I did something similar about 15 yrs. ago when I was training. Now, I'm just happy to be in decent shape. :-)
