Yes, I have not had any concerns. The only concern you may have is guaging your blood sugar response. Some people may find they become depleted towards the end of the workout, especially if you have this concern with extended cardio. I know that in my case, my blood sugar rises and I am fine.

Boy you said a mouthful there!

There are many MANY ways to do HIIT, with varying numbers of intervals at varying levels of intensity. I do enough in every workout to make me sorry I was ever born, but low carb has neither hurt nor helped me in this regard.

I've done HIIT low carb and not so low carb, and it doesn't really make any difference in how I feel or the results I get. HIIT is a great way to work out. You get better fat-burning results in a shorter amount of time.

I have done HIIT. I don't have nearly the energy I have when I do eat carbs, even if it is a little. I get really sick afterwards if I go hard on no carbs but everyone is different.

Can I "carb load" before a workout without restoring my glycogen supply.

i think you would restore your glycogen in a carb load (refeed?) before a workout. though it depends a bit on timing. but you wouldn't, i don't think, want to carb load right before HIIT unless you want to puke

if you are doing low-carb, you most likely have very little glycogen stored. when you eat carbs, they will go towards restoring glycogen in the liver.

why do you want to avoid restoring the glycogen before your work out? cardio will deplete the glycogen, though you'd have to do alot

Someone correct me if i'm wrong here1

doesnt that depend on the type of carbs.. starchy carbs refill muscle glycogen, fruit would fill liver glycogen. When we refeed, it's supposed to be starchy, so it goes to the muscle.

Starchy carbs would be oats, sweet potatoes, or brown rice.

HIT and low carbs

Lets be honest doing anything on low enough carbs is miserable. That is where Red line and music come into play. The body must be trained to work like this and especially with low carbs. Short on time but more pain- godda love the pain of sprint intervals.
