Lean Circuit 1 done....I LOVED it!!! I am so excited about this phase. We used a chair several times during the workout. Also, push-ups are back It was challenging but awesome!! Tricep extensions in Plank position..omg!! I also did all twelve tricep push-ups on my toes!! I did them too fast though so I need to work on that.

She stressed the importance of eating through the entire workout....eat every 2-3 hours.

I am so pumped!!

Thanks for the heads up! Did it seem too long? I know most of you even supplement CLX with other workouts, but I don't. On a rare occasion I will do abs on my day off. It's encouraging that you like it so much!

It didn't seem that long but we also stopped it more to watch each exercise before we did it so we had the form down. LOL, we do supplement too so we are off to the gym now. We also do abs about 4-5 times a week.

I so need to add more abs work -- I don't always get in the abs on its usual day, because it makes the workout too long, but instead I should be trying to fit it in MORE!!!!!

Finished Burn Circuit today -- rest day tomorrow, and looking forward to starting the Push Circuit on Monday!!!!

The Circuits are shorter in the Push phase, that is when we added Extreme Abs. It rounds the entire workout to be close to an hour.

Me, too. I'm trying to think of ways to get in some planks and other "non-sweaty" ab work.

I was busy yesterday with kids birthday parties and hockey games so I moved my workout to today. I know I said above that the extra disc workout was so-so. I did it today and I really think it is worth it. There is Get Lean Intervals that would go in place of burn intervals. There is Fat Burn Challenge (I did today instead of burn it off). FBC is 32 minutes and of course the dreaded sumo burpees are in there - 16 of em'. I was VERY sweaty! Then I did I've Got Abs - killed me, kicked me in every way possible. There are a lot of pushups, including the three part ones. There is also plank work-which I have to say I suck at, so I'm scared to move on to the lean phase next week, Nikismom said there are planks with tricep kickbacks- OUCH! I really, really stink at plank. In fact when the dvd was over, I rewound it so I could stink at them again.

I will begin!

A friend of mine just gave me her set of DVD's and I am excited that I will begin on Tuesday. That is my begin date for my plan. It was great reading about you all and how it does work and I am super excited to try it. I do have the P90 series and I think maybe I will go back to that once I get my routine down with ChaLEAN!

I have disc 7, and I totally agree that it's worth it! Having the extra cardio options to cycle through keeps me from dreading any one of them. And, the extra ab workout is great also.

You did it twice! You are an ANIMAL!

Oh no, I only rewound it so I could see why it was so hard - the plank part, she has you lift a leg and oh my, I stunk! I TRIED doing it again, and still stunk!

That was a part of Jillian's shred so it is going to be a piece of cake. she does a plank hold then leg lift, then arm row using heavy weights, then moves to the other side, then back to the original side. That was one of the toughest parts of Level 3 of Shred. But oh so effective.

I've decided to start doing doubles. I started P90x today because I really need to give myself an extra push: Arms and shoulders and gurls, it is kick arse. I was practically crying. Nothing but serious weight and 12 different types of pushups and pullups.

No. joke. Tony Horton ...

And Miss Chalene wrote on my wall on Facebook. Not a generic message but a personalized one that gives a glimpse into just how "real" she is because she must get thousands of messages and requests.

I Chalene and I Tony.

I bow to you LadyB, doing both programs at the same....WOW. I am sure your results will be amazing

I ordered P09X today!! We don't plan to start until 4 weeks after CLX ends. My hubby wants 4 weeks in the gym to prepare for it.

I went to bed early and here I am, wide awake. I'm going to have some hot tea and go back to bed so I can get up and face Tony and his danged Plyo in the a.m.

Yeah. That first Chest & Back routine: all push-ups and pull-ups: about 50 different styles.

Tony is serious.

Chalene is serious, too but she isn't trying to kill you.

I did take 30 day photos today.

Tony is an animal. Completed plyometrics. Thank gawd for Miss Chalene. She is the only reason I was able to get through that beastly hour without passing out. Tony is RELENTLESS, though. You will get fit. No doubt.

And yes. Be afraid. Be very effing afraid.

Tony is a rock star, though.

I second the motion that YOU ARE A WILD WOMAN! Doubling up on the workouts? Oh, my . . . I have P90X, haven't opened it yet -- After I bought it, I heard that some women were getting broad back/shoulders from all the pushups and pullups. At 5'2", I can't afford to be any broader! You'll have to let us know if you find that happening to you.

Wait till you get to Lean, there's a breakdown after every single exercise

I don't know where that comes from ... most of the growth is determined by genetics and how hard you're working out. I can't imagine getting terribly broad doing just pullups and pushups.

But there is a lean version you can do that simply has more cardio and that will allow even more fat burning. There is no plyometrics incorporated and the pushups and pullups can be modified so that you're not getting a full range of motion.

Right now, I've got nothing for you except ... pain. I can give you all levels of description of the pain that is so gooooood.

And it is every bit as intense as you've heard.

A couple of guys in my office heard me talking about doing P90x and they're over here with wide eyed looks of admiration. They're pretty cut guys and they're afraid of Tony.

I am just barely over 5 feet myself, I really don't think this is an issue at all. You would have to add some serious mass to your muscles to broaden your back and shoulders. Unless you are body building with a program designed to build mass (most of us aren't) this will not be an issue. You will have gorgeous shoulder and back muscles. One thing to keep in mind, depending on how much body fat you have to lose and the rate you build muscle can differ and cause what appears to be temporary bulk. It is because you have not fully replaced your fat with muscle, not because your muscles are getting bulky. Keep at it and be faithful to your dietary plan and it will go away. You are doing great!!!

This morning was arms and shoulders which worked well with the back work with Miss Chalene last night.

I am exhausted but it is a really good, serene kind of exhaustion.

Tomorrow is yoga x with Tony so ... I've been prepped by a galpal on what to have ready so I'm off to Target tonight so that in the A.M. I'm ready to bring it.
