Kbragg ~ you look awesome. Congrats on the weight loss and muscle gain!

I just got back from vacation and only worked out one time Oh well it was vacation so I will be starting the Lean Phase over again and complete 4 solid weeks of it. I might just start the whole program over again once I am done with Lean because I love it so much.

Hopefully I won't get too sore.

Hi Cat,
Just call your vacation your "recovery week" and start Lean over like you're planning.

I will be starting Lean Friday...can't wait!

Isn't it amazing that there's no dread factor with these workouts?

I completed Lean 1 for the first time this morning!

It was TOUGH!! Especially the plank work....I could only do a few on my toes, then dropped to my knees, but I still felt it.

I really enjoy the workouts with Chalene. I am not going to do the whole program again until the fall I won't have any regular time to do it so I will just do some kind of weight program to keep doing something. My only problem with the last one I did was I didn't really follow a good eating program and I know this is why I didn't lose alot of weight, I will also have to take measurements as I didn't the 1st time either.

I still have problems doing the push up on my toes, my wrists get sore and I have to either do them on my knees or I have to switch to doing them against a wall. How many push up can you do on your toes before going to your knees?

I will finish the entire program mid August (just finished the first week of Lean) and plan on using Cathe's gym styles for a while, alternated with Jari Love's DVDs. Then, go back to CLX in October.

I can do about 3 toe push-ups, but, I'm not able to go down low enough. Doing them on my toes, I still feel them.

I will go back to the program in Sept., the summer is always busier and I hate missing a workout when it is structured so rather than get irratated with missing a workout I am just doing weights 3 days a week and the elliptical 2 days a week.

Are you following any paticular eating program? I can only do 1 or 2 push ups on my toes than I do the rest on my knees or against the wall, I have find that my wrists hurt when I do push ups so I will have to find out how to strengthen them and hopefully be able to do more push ups on my toes.

In my previous post, there was a typo....I should have said even doing them on my knees, I still feel the push ups.

Today, I did Lean 2 and did 3 extreme push ups on my toes AND I went lower to the floor....so definitely getting stronger

I'm eating low carb.

way to go on the push ups. I think when I was trying to do the push up I always tried to go down really low and would always fail after 1 or 2 I guess what I will try is to not go down so low until I am stronger, thanks for the tip. I know that the workouts made me stronger and I have more muscle definition now but I have to get my eating under control to get rid of the fat.

I also was doing low carb but I added a banana and some frozen raspberries into my shakes I found that they kept me full longer.

Gotta love that muscle definition!

I see it in my shoulders the most....my posture is much better.

My teens think I'm nuts when I yell "I did 3 on my toes!" , but hey, that's a lot of weight I'm "pushing up" (200)

3 on the toes , teens always think we are nuts anyway but I bet they are impressed with you. Do you find that you are hungrier? I did the elliptical last night for 30 mins, it was a little tough but I needed to do the whole 30 mins. I will do lower body tonight, not really following any workout plan but I will do the squats and lunges that I was doing with Chalene.

I also noticed that my posture is improving, my muscle definition is in my biceps which I find really cool

I was much hungrier during the Push phase, but, I wasn't super strict with the low carb.

Now, during Lean, I'm much stricter with the carbs (keeping VLC) and am not much hungrier.

Not sure if anyone is still doing this program. I'm on my 2nd week of Push and really like it. I can't believe that I like Push more than Burn.

I love this program!!

This is suppose to be my last day of Push but I'm thinking about adding an extra week since I had to skip a couple of the work-outs this week.

Still here and loving it! I'm on my last week of Lean.

This is the longest I've consistently exercised

Also, I bought the deluxe disc 7 which has 3 additional workouts. I did Lean intervals yesterday and boy is that one fun! Tough....but fun and quick.

WTG! Are you going to do the program again or what are your plans? I'm thinking about doing it a 2nd time.

Yes, I'm going for round 2 in the fall.

Until then, I plan on doing Cathe's gym styles mixed with some endurance type workouts and cardio.

I'm going to re-do this in the fall also. For the first time in my life, I love weight training. In this series, I prefer the weights to the cardio.

Her cardio stuff is intense!

My real motivation is to wear a bikini at Christmas. We are going on a cruise this year to the Caribbean.

I am doing a re-do in the fall as well, for the summer I have been doing Jillian Michaels Shred and just basic weight training. I will also do some turbo jam as I really liked doing that as well.

Is anyone going to do the Shaun T Insanity workout? I am going to do another round of chalene extreme starting in Sept., it has been too busy this summer to follow a strict workout so I have been trying to do weights 3 days a week and some elliptical a couple of days a week, is anyone still doing chalene extreme?

I was wondering what size weights she recommends in Chalean Extreme? I was wanting to do either Power 90X or Chalean Extreme after I am finished doing Slim in 6. I was thinking maybe 7-10 lbs would be good for me. I currently use 5 lbs for strength training. I wasn't sure exactly how heavy of weights she recommended to get the best results. I currently do Extreme Abs (which is killer btw!), but that's about it since I don't have super heavy weights.

When I did Chalene the 1st time I was using up to 25 pounds depending on the exercise. I think you will find that you will need heavier weights as you go through the program.

Where did you all see the most significant fat and weightloss? Like in which phase.

I had a gain at the start of Push than I lost it and .6lbs the next week. But, before during BURN I was going down 1.5-2lbs per week.

So, I'm trying to figure out if this is normal.

What does it mean when your body fat goes up, but your weight goes down?

I finished up Chalene Exteme, but never did my stats, just got busy with vacation and summer. I didn't eat as well as I would have liked to during the workouts and I know it hurt my results, so I didn't want to be disappointed. Like others, I will be starting again this Fall 'cause I love Chalean Extreme!!! Right now I have been doing Jillian Michaels workout, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and really like the simplicity of it. The workout is tough but nothing new to learn.

Did anyone do CLX with resistance bands and see good results, too?

I'm doing Jillian's Banish Fat alternating with No More Trouble Zones right now.
They are both tough! Comparing them to Burn Intervals and the straight cardio one from CLX (I forget the title off the top of my head), I find Jillian's tougher for some reason.

I am such a creature of habit I haven't been switching them, but I really should. Maybe I will do the No More Trouble Zones tonight and see how I feel.

Anyone still doing CLX? I am on my first week Good Grief! I am out of shape! I did the Burn Interval today and I was unable to keep up so was jumping and jogging near the end as I was too tired and out of breath for their jumps. Weight days not sure yet, I used to heavy so did not perform them in proper form so I will go lower. Bought new scales analyze fat, says I am 32% which is way off, if I use a caliper (only 1 position) I get 23%.
The scales were a cheap make.
