It is insanely obvious to me now why this is called the LEAN Circuit! I just finished Lean Circuit 3. I was really skeptical because these circuits are a lot lighter on the booty work than Push and lower body work gets my heart rate up HIGH! Well these workouts do NOT disappoint! My butt is sweating shoot I have sweat on my ankles and wrists. I'm sweating from head to toe and my arms feel like jello and I call myself going LIGHT No wonder I'm losing so much weight dang!

Well tomorrow I will do Fat Burn Challenge for the first time. I saw another post on here say it's even harder than burn it off Don't know if I'm ready for that or not we'll find out tomorrow

I'm into my 3rd week of the Burn phase. Don't have a computer, so I'll post when I can.

the cardio is tough, but I'm modifying for now. I mark my weight sheets and know I can lift heavier, just have to get my butt to the store and get heavier weights.

I love the length of these, because I just "get it done"....no dread factor at all!

I'm cheering you on even though I don't post daily.

Oh wow Kassandra! I start Lean on Monday.....your description has really piqued my curiosity ! I can't wait! I have reached a plateau so maybe this will break it. My endocrinologist told me to not eat oatmeal for breakfast and switch to eggs. Maybe the combo of the 2 will whip my butt into shape!

Hey everyone! Well I did Fat Burn Challenge today. I did a quick preview and thought "OH! More breaks! Should be easier!" Well....it ain't! At first it seems a little easy but by the time the burpees found their way to me I was TOAST! I needed a 3 hour break not 30 seconds! I pushed as hard as I could but couldn't complete all the reps. MAN that was hardcore! Had me feeling like Xena Warrior Princess and stuff I loved when we got to the Kickboxing units and Lahli said "That's my heart!" That's exactly how I feel about Turbo too! I love Turbo Jam! Turbo for life BAAAYBEEEE!

Anyway I am soooo excited to start again on Monday! I may do Burn Intervals instead of Get Lean Intervals next week, I dunno. Get Lean is great too but there's just something about Burn Intervals for me. I think it's the driving beats (I like the music better in both Burn Intervals and Burn it Off than the deluxe workouts) but anyways, bye for now

I'm sick. I'm taking at least today off. Can't breathe for squat anyway. Ugh.

I hate when this happens. 2 weeks in and I have to take time off?!

Did Push 2 on Friday and missed my workout Saturday so I did it yesterday. Burn Intervals and Extreme Abs, should be called Insane Abs. I did love it but it was super tough. Just what the doctor ordered.

Does anyone do extra cardio? If so, how often. I am just not feeling like I am getting enough fat burning in because my muscles are getting bigger underneath all this goo and I am getting

I plan on adding extra cardio instead of the 2 days off. Might take one day off depending on how I feel.

I caved and ordered the Selecttech weights from ebay. Hopefully they'll arrive before I finish Burn in another week.

I'm still on modified cardio (especially those burpees)....anyone else.

I did my 2nd week of the lean phase circuit 1, it is getting better I think the reason I didn't really like it last week is that I am having to do both upper and lower body workouts at the same time but also there is more balance involved and that is where I am having problems but I will keep plugging away. I was getting a bit discouraged as I wasn't noticing any change but my husband said I was getting narrower so that is a good thing.

I haven't been doing any extra cardio but have been taking my granddaughters out to the park so I figured that was alot of running around. I do the modified burpees as I dislocated my knee cap about 1.5 years ago and can sometimes feel it moving off a bit so I keep some of the exercises modified.

I will usually throw in an extra cardio on the first rest day. I've been set to add in some of the P90X + cardio intervals or Kenpo, or some of the cardio from Tony Horton's One On One videos. Great stuff. May even throw in some Plyo X from P90X. Last time I did it and wore my HR monitor I burned almost 1000 calories in the one hour workout! It rocked!!!

The lifting DVDs are that length if not a little longer, but the cardio DVDs are a little longer (aproximately 45)

Finished Burn circuit 3 this morning. I didn't feel like working out, but was glad I did after I finished.

When Chalean and the male use their selecttech weights and she mentions a weight she uses (example 30 lbs,), is that the TOTAL combined weight or each dumbell....does anyone know?

Each dumbell weighs 30 lbs. If you are not picking up 30's now, you will before you finish the program. You will gain so much strength with CLX.

There are three days weights, two days cardio, and two rest days. I do three days cardio and only rest one day. I do weights, cardio, weights, cardio, weights, cardio, then rest (Sunday).

Last night I did Burn it Off and whew what a workout, even after doing it so much I never get used to it, then I did Extreme Abs. Killer tough, but so worth it.

jabbok ~ Going to the park sounds much nicer than staying in and working out.

KBragg ~ I am so jealous you are losing so much, I am just building muscles right now...I know it is coming I just am not that patient! Can't wait for LEAN.

d_samy ~ The weights are about that long, you will be surprised how fast it goes. The cardios are a tad longer and with the abs you are looking at between 40-50 minutes. They are worth it so plan ahead!

Angie ~ I would love the selecttech weight, just don't have the money for them yet.

Thanks. Hopefully when my Selecttechs arrive I'll be able to really go heavy. and I'll be almost into the push phase (one more week of burn left).

Cat, the way I rationalized the cost was that they're cheaper than a gym membership.

Hi Kassandra,

I occassional read some of these threads because I have been considering the ChaleneExtreme. My question is have you continued to really follow Atkins or have you modified your diet for you heavy lifting. I have recently started more heavy lifting but this is an area where I usually struggle. So many of the people that lift weights carb up prior to completing the programs. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. I just think most diet are geared towards people that only workout a little, and the strength programs are usually geared more towards people who eat quite a bit of carbs for the muscle glycogen. I usually find it is hard to find someone who is following atkins and really doing extreme lifting or running.

Thanks for listening.

The first 7 weeks of the program I was following a high carb vegetarian plan. Since switching back to Atkins these last couple of weeks I can honestly say I have MORE power and strength and am getting better and faster results than with a high carb diet. Carbs really are overrated IMO

Hello everyone. I am so excited to be reading about your great results. I am on week three of the Burn Circuit. I have a question. I am have been following the JUDDDD eating plan for the past three month. I quickly reached goal and went a little beyond that. However, since I started this program, I have noticed that my body is not responding to the diet the way it was before. It seems to be holding onto some additional weight despite the added weight training and INTENSE cardio . Did any of you experience the same thing or have any insights? Thanks in advance.

This was my second day on lean.....OHHHHHH!!! Does anyone else feel like a bumbling idiot? I'm not really liking this phase so far, but will keep at it as I know to get to the next step I have to work for it. Gotta say though, I'm going to need TWO months to master this one! I can barely get through the workout...I mean I'm on the FLOOR!!!! I think I got a fat head during Push phase!

Oh I know I did Lean is certainly humbling the first week I am finishing up my second week of Lean and am now loving it! Those dead lifts with the frontal press WOOOOOOOO those get it!

But I have to say I am getting soooo LEAN in this phase. This is probably the 50th place I've posted this today but what the heck I'm proud!

Granted it's not Oxygen worthy yet but this is the Leanest my back have EVEN been and I've never had that kind of shoulder definition

The program works!

Can I ask where you got your SelectTechs and why did you choose those?

I just finished week 2 of the burn phase and I am going to need heavier weights soon.

I've looked at Powerblocks and SelectTechs both and can't decide.

I got mine from ebay through a reputable seller as a "buy it now" item. No shipping and no tax. I paid $375. Each dumbell goes up to 52.5 pounds. Bowflex sells another model which goes up to 90 lbs.

I chose them because I don't have much space in my workout area for a lot of dumbbells and I knew I'd eventually need to go heavier in order to progress and see results.

I did a little search online between Powerblocks and Selecttechs and settled on the Selecttechs because of the ease of changing poundage (dial system whereas the Powerblocks are a pin I believe).
