Aha! This is where all the cool people are hiding!
I got the program on Friday and started it this week. Today was Burn 2 and can I just say ..my hamstrings and ass hurt! ![]() I've underestimated myself for most things so far, over estimated once (and boy was that ugly!), but by next week I figure I'll have most of it tuned in enough to start knockin' this out the way it's meant to be done. It feels really good. I have some catching up to do in this thread, but I wanted to say hi...so... ![]()

BrookJay!I am getting into some scheduling issues. We get the house on Friday and have so much to do before then. I've been going into work early to get off early, then do all my running around. So despite having 2 weeks into Burn, I don't think I will get much done until we are moved in. I am really disappointed but I am under a lot of stress and just can't fit it in for a couple of weeks. But I'll be back with a vengeance in May!! |

![]() I did Burn Intervals for the first time today and .Thank goodness for the lady that modifies, because even though I'd consider myself to be in pretty decent shape by most people's standards, I was too pooped to pop by interval 4! ![]() It's done though. I got through it and I'll do better next time. <picks up dragging and carries it out of the thread with me>Last edited by BrookJay; 04-30-2009 at 12:17 PM.. |

BrookJay you are too funny and believe me we have all been there with everything feeling like Jell-O. Burn Intervals and Burn it Off never go away, by the time you are done you will be rockin' it! I love the way I just want to lay down and cry afterward. What can I say I am sick and twisted ![]() I completed Push 2 yesterday and it was great, my biceps are still killing me, sweet! Took tonight off, it was my birthday so it was just too much to get an extra cardio workout in. I will be walking around the zoo tomorrow with my DD so I will get a little bit of cardio, if I walk fast. Can't wait to do Push 3 tomorrow! LongIslandGirl ~ you are going to be so surprised how fast they go. Northernstar ~ Don't worry about life, that stuff just happens, just get back ASAP. [/COLOR] |

So, I decided to go back to low carb. I haven't low carbed in years.
I've been reading in the ML for pointers. I've not done my CLX since last week! GAH! But I DID go to spinning Wednesday and Thursday. My goal is to do CLX in the morning, spinning at lunch. I'm ready! I've already lost 3 pounds since Wednesday. |

Burn 3 is DONE DONE DONE
![]() I'm not doing the calf work in it though. Nope. No way. My calves are already 15.75 inches and solid as a rock. It's the one area of my body I bulk in at lightening speed and being I bought 3 pairs of knee-high boots that I spent an embarrassing amount on recently, Nu-uh. Instead I loaded up the weight and squatted until I wanted to croak. Cat..Umm, are you trying to tell me Burn It Off is as bad or worse as Burn Intervals? - If it is, don't tell me today. I'll find out for myself tomorrow and then I'll come here to cry. *gulp*Chrystee- WTG on the 3lbs!! Did ya get CLX in today? Thanks for the welcome everyone! |

OK - Been reading this thread off and on, and was able to borrow CLX from a neighbor so I'm joining in.
![]() I've been so uncommitted to consistent workouts that this will really be a challenge for me as exercise has been hit/or/miss for the most part. But I've got to do it. I did Burn 1 yesterday, and the chart called for a rest day today, so I took it (long story, my dad's in hospital again, so my life's a bit insane at the moment ) but I'll do Burn 2 tomorrow AM, and should be able to WO on Sunday also. ![]() Got to get my eating in line too. I can't seem to stick to LC anymore (despite knowing that it works best for me ) DH is a fabulous cook, and the weight doesn't just creep on, it boldly walks up to me and smacks me with a chubby stick. When I was single I never had the amount and variety of food that I now have in the house. Dinner's a smorgasbord and impossible to resist due to my lack of willpower. ![]() Also, are you guys planning to start a new thread for May?

I put my before/after pics together. I didn't see the difference in the pics I took after eatch phase, but I can definitely see it in the start & finish. I wish I'd taken pics of my arms. they came out nice LOL

Your pics look great....I can see the difference in your abs and arms especially. Question for you.....what eating plan were you following? does anyone NOT have DOMS? I feel the workouts while I'm doing them, but don't have DOMS the day after....not complaining , just wondering if that means my muscles haven't been worked hard enough? |

I actually didn't think it was as bad as Burn Intervals! And I really enjoyed ReCharge- though it's a little rough on my knees. I'll do it again next time and if I find I'm still having trouble, I'll replace it with Cool It Off Express and see if that does the trick

So, so far, my least favorite is Burn Intervals, but like you said, AngieZ, it *is* doable. Of course I have to carry my out of the room with me when I go. I was telling my husband the other day, "I've done it once....I only have to do it 11 more times. I've given birth three times. I can do *anything* 11 times in 45 minute intervals. " ![]() I didn't take Day 1 pictures, but I sure wish I would have. I'll take them today. I'm already down 5lbs again and I can feel a differences. Pants fit better already too. Gotta love that! |

re: DOMS, I only had it when I first started, but not when I started a new phase. They weren't even that bad because I'd been lifting before. nothing like when I first started weight lifting ![]() |

Hey BrokkJay, I'm sad because PUSH has been my favorite phase! Burn & Lean are similar but Push you're doing single muscle moves pushing SUPER HEAVY weights. The heaviest I've ever lifted prior to this was 10lbs so to be bench 70lbs and squatting 80lbs is like
I haven't lost as much weight in this phase but I know I've built some major muscle! Can't wait to see the results of this next phase!![]() |
