You are doing great Kassandra, you can see the difference in the photos. I think I might have to get some of those lifting hooks as I find that my elbows get sore when lifting heavy weights maybe that will take some of the pressure off the elbows. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I paid like 125, I think for the whole thing. If I didn't know the source, 90 bucks is just ok. I'd just buy it, but I like brand new.

Kassandra you can see the change. You look great.

Thanks for everyone's help! I bought the system for $90.00 and i'd list the source but I dont know if I can here? Anyhow, they are the overseas version but exactly the same as the US release supposedly. They are authentic, not bootleg, I made sure to find out about this! I should get these late next week or early the following, I am excited to begin! Until then, just to get my body moving again so I am not in total shock when they come, I am going to start TurboJam until it gets here. I too am an old FIRM user and am looking forward to a weighted workout. Thanks again!

Hi ladies!

Just coming back for a visit -- sort of like Alumni Visiting Day!

I finished CLX -- still totally in love with the program, and will do another rotation in a few months. I switched to Squeeze (by Tracy Effinger) which is as different from CLX as you can imagine. Tons of tiny movements with 2 pound weights (You should have seen my eyes bugging out when she picked up these TEENY-TINY weights, after my big 35 pounders on CLX). But, this workout made me cry -- even with those two pounds, it kicked my butt!

So, I'm really enjoying doing something different -- hope you all are lifting like crazy!!!

I finished CLX also but I like checking back in to see how everyone is progressing. I'm doing P90x now and after I finish this rotation I plan on buying Shaun T's Insanity. After the Insanity rotation, I will be back to CLX. I think I have my exercise routine set until 2010. Hopefully nothing else tempting will come out like P90x to the third power because I would buy that too.

I did Burn Intervals & Ab Burner on Saturday...yesterday was a rest day. I am doing Push 3 tonight and Ab Burner, I really need the extra ab workout.

I will be buying Insanity as soon as it comes out as well, it looks crazy but lots of fun.

Great job Kassandra, you can really see the difference.

Insanity looks scary!

I skipped my workout this morning so will try to get it in when I get home. We have so much to do and get the keys to the house on Friday. The next 3 weeks are going to be insane, I don't know if I'll be able to get all my workouts in - although moving/painting/reno is pretty physical by itself!

You know, Insanity just didn't appeal to me at all! It is just like Burn It Off (taken up a notch), which was my least favorite part of CLX. I'll pass on this one . . .

That said, I am LOVING Rockin' Body -- I get great calorie burn from this one!

That's EXACTLY how I felt about it too. Burn It Off is my least favorite but at least it only comes once a week and is over in 20 minutes I just have never liked "Kill Myself Cardio"

Hello All,
I am finally starting chalean and became a coach. Just ordered it all last night. SO excited to start. Hoping it will help.

It's completely different from CLX. Since CLX was my first 90 day rotation ever, I think I will always compare any rotation to CLX. I like P90x because it's challenging on another level. Without Chalean, I would not have been able to do half of the exercises. Burn it off, Fat Burn Challenge and Burn Intervals helped with Plyo, learning to do pushups on my toes, struggling through tricep pushups really prepared me for Chest and Back. I think if I would have started P90x first, I would have a dread factor because I would have a hard time completing the workouts. CLX gave me a great foundation to build upon. Not to take anything away from P90x but if I had a choice and I was able to afford only one workout, it would be CLX hands down.

I bet you didn't know that you are the one that got me on the CLX kick. I even ordered my set from you. I also frequent LHCF but I hardly ever post.

Thanks for the info, I have the P90X workouts but depending on how the 1st session of CLX goes I may do it again before trying the P90X workouts. It is good to know that Chalean has helped because I love her workouts.

If you had more to lose, you could probably ease in whatever foods you want "in moderation" but when you're on the last 10lbs, you can't. There is no easy, sweet way to say it: you have to suck it up and take the hard stance with yourself. You are not going to lose the last 10lbs if you don't cut out the "extras." The wine at night, the kids lunches, the whole mindset of you deserve it.

There is no "moderation" during the last 10lb battle. Nothing fair about it. This is where you have to have tunnel vision and be strict with yourself. If you don't, you will be here in 20 years still about the last 10lbs.

I know. I'm still here after 6 years about that last 10lbs. But this time, I'm taking no prisoners.

C'mon. Let's be really strong together.

Completed Push 3 last night, loved it!!! Then I did Ab Burner, quick and relatively painless.
Definately have to pick up the 25 pounders for some of the exercises. I will be doing Burn it Up and more Abs tonight. I can't believe how fast the weeks fly and that I look forward to doing these workouts.

Hummingbird~ Thanks for reposting those great words by LadyBeloved, it is exactly what I needed to "hear" as well. Just need to do it!

Whoever posted about Donna and her comments in Push was right, I find her irritating Wish she was never given a mic.

I do my exercises when I get home from work, I can't seem to get motivated to get out of bed any earlier. Do you prefer to do your exercises in the morning? When you exercise 1st thing in the morning do you have something to eat before you start?

I aklways work out at ngiht, no motivation to do anythingin the morning.

Just wondering if anyone has any more suggestions on weights? I bought adjustable pair from Walmart but dont knwo if I can keep changing these in between every set. I havent gotten the program inthe mail yet but I havea feeling it might get annoying to have to keep changing the weights right?

Still searching on ebay and craigs list

I have just regular weights so I just have the sets that I need set up in front of me so it is easy to grab, I think once you get used to changing the weight it will be quicker, are they hard to change from one wieght to another?

No, I don't. I prefer to work out on an empty stomach anyway.
I am trying to do the Chalene in the morning, and do other things at lunch and stuff.

thanks I think I will give it a try in the morning and see if it works better, if I don't do them as soon as I get home after work something always comes up and the it can be really late when I get them done.

thank LIG; but I don't have $120+ in the budget right now; I want(ed) it CHEAP!

anyhoo ~

after much research over the past 24 hours; I think ChaLEAN is too much for me at this point. I know that P90X is outta my league for sure!

(heck I tore the meniscus in my right knee doing JM's 30-Day Shred in Nov!)

so I'm gonna embark on the Journey I set out to follow 2 months ago...
(but got sidetracked by life!)
...The New Rules of Lifting for Women

it's a FANTASTIC read; and sums up much of what I've learned/believe re: nutrition/fitness.

I will be interested to follow y'alls progress with CHX and when I'm strong enuf; perhaps I'll join ya!

Completed Burn it Off and Ab Burner last night it! Starting week two of Push tonight!

I am a night time exerciser, even if once in a while it is later than I want. I can't drag myself out of the bed that early in the morning. I already have to be at work at 7am, so getting up that much earlier just isn't going to work. If I did it would be on an empty stomach.

Chalene does the adjustable weights, so she does give you time to get them set up. I always find myself waiting for her because I use dumbells.

I also find myself waiting for her as she also talks alot so I have learned not to pick up my weights until she starts the 1st rep. I was thinking yesterday while I was completing push circuit 2 that by the end I should know exactly what she is going to say
