I did the recharge yesturday. It was okay. I think I perfer Steve Ross yoga, but it is more of a power yoga than a recharge, so I will stick with charlene for now for that. Today I did burn 3 for the second time. I went up an average of 5 pounds for every exercise but 3, those I stayed at the same weight but did 12 reps.

You ANIMAL!

I LOVE LOVE the 20 Minute Workout -- for some reason, it has the best combination of moves! I wish she made a longer version of this -- I've tried just doing it two times, but that got boring.

Cardio day today -- I did a Core Rhythms DVD, hoping to work out my wussy abs while I got my cardio in.

Yup -- it's one from the original Turbo Jam package, I think.

20 Minute Workout is from the original Turbo Jam. I actually thought about doing it tonight but, I left the house to take my son to soccer so I never got around to it. I did Burn 2 tonight and upped my weights about 5 pounds for every exercise. I did reach failure but I think 20's still might be in order for some of the lower body work.

Lean 2 today -- all I can say is, Shoulders! Ow ow ow ow!!!!! And, I still hate the moves where you have to lift one leg -- I'm such a klutz that I really can't keep my balance. I'm just doing all of those with upper body only.

Done with Push! I think I'm switching to bands for Lean because it's a total pain in the butt to change my weight plates. Plus, I think it will help with the "in between" resistance I need sometimes for those smaller arm muscles.

Finished Lean Week 2 today -- cardio day, did TJ Cardio Party Remix. So funny seeing Toni and Laylee (sp?) in the group, not glammed up.

I just got the greatest gadget ever -- it's the GoWearFit armband. It's like the BodyBugg, if you've heard of that from Biggest Loser shows. It's like a super-HRM-pedometer -- measures calorie burn, steps, and sleep. I love this -- it gives me great charts and really shows me when I'm burning calories and when I'm not. Really, really motivating.

I'm loving this thing so much, I'm going to post a full thread on it over on the Exercise forum later on, when I have more time.

Happy weekend, all! I'm going out with hubby tonight for an anniversary dinner -- he's taking me to a great steakhouse. Yum!

Happy Anniversary!!!! I never heard of the armband - I've seen the contestants wear them on the Biggest Loser. This week, I've done crappolla-absolutley nothing except on Monday when I did some yoga (didn't like it). Then I started feeling yucky and do think I have a bug - weak, tired, sore throat - blah. On Monday, I restart CLX.

I decided to do some cardio today. I wasn't feeling the treadmill this morning so I did Plyo from P90x. I will say this, CLX really prepared me for that workout. Rest day tomorrow. Have a good weekend everyone.

quick question about chest flies

I did burn 1 today and the last exercise was a chest fly. I feel it in the front of my shoulders rather than my chest. I did 15 pounds. What am I doing wrong?

Did Burn 3 yesterday and then a Cindy Whitmarsh 20 minute cardio, I have been eating like crap lately so I just wanted to get some extra cardio. Anyway today is my rest day.

Pandorasvise ~ I am not sure about the chestflies, I will have to wait until I do them on Tuesday and I will let you know where I feel it.

I have never heard of the armbands. They sound really cool

See you tomorrow after Burn it off and maybe Recharge??? Can't decide if I am going to do it or not, might do TJ 20 minute instead.

Nikismom - I bow to you....... Awesome!! I am starting my second round of CLX tomorrow.

Pandorasvise - are you sure you are "hugging the tree" and not pushing the weights straight up? It's out - in, not up -down. Also, you may just be more sore in the shoulders because there is more shoulder work? I cannot remember burn 1 - but I'll be doing it tomorrow so I'll let you know. In the lean phase, I remember right above my b**bs hurting! However, I did not notice it as much as when my arms, legs, are sore because you don't use your chest muscles like the others.

Wow that is awesome on the pushups, are you able to do them all on your toes? I still do my push ups on my knees can't seem to do them on my toes.

I started week one of push today, had a good workout but will have to get some kind of weighted belt or vest as my arms want to give when I am using the 20 pound weights for the lower body workouts.

Hi to all,
Hope you don't mind if I jump in. I finished my first round of CLX and started round 2 today. I just love this program. I love most of the BB programs tho!!!!! I had some great results on the first round; down 7 pounds, 2 inches off my waist and butt, 3 inches off my thighs and wow did I increase my strength. That push and lean phase are killer. This time around I am gonna do heavier weights from the burn phase on, so that I can see even better results this round. Glad to see this thread is so popular!!!! Looking forward to getting to know y'all!!!!

Yes, all on my toes Are you doing the Ab workouts? One of the things that makes doing push-ups on your toes easier is having a strong core. Just keep at it and it WILL come. Try to do a least one on your toes each time.

Welcome Susan!!!

I started Lean today, with circuit 3. I was going to use the bands because I thought it would be easier in terms of not having to change weight plates all the time but they were really awkward for me. I got through 3 of the exercises before I had to start over with weights. Holy hell, what a workout. I loved it!! But my arms are still shaking and Ive been done for an hour.

Welcome, Susan!

Nikismom -- 199 pushups? I am in awe -- I can't imagine ever getting to the triple digits.

Started Lean week 3 today -- with Lean 3. What makes Lean hard is how concentrated the workouts are on different upper body parts -- Burn and Push spread it out more, I think. Lean 1 and 3 have so much shoulders (my weakest, suckiest part!) and Lean 2 has so many biceps exercises . . . killer!

I posted about my GoWear Fit gadget over in the Exercise forum, for anybody who's interested!

You are so right porkfat, the lean phase seems to isolate the parts. I just did burn 1 today - yes, it hurt! But there were lunges, squats, and she did repeat the posterior fly (which I suck at) twice. I still love it!

Hi all! Just finished burn day 1 (round 2). Went heavier this round over last one. My goal for this round is to nail the nutrition better than the last round. That is always my problem tho. I do great with the workouts and still mess up a bit on the eating part. Unfortunately my job gets in the way of me eating every 2-3 hours and I often have lunch meetings which are not the best options for me. What are you all doing nutrition wise? I love to hear how other folks are eating! Hope y'all are having a great day so far..... Be back later....

MEEEE TOOOOO! I am back on plan eating the South Beach Diet Way. I totally screwed up last time - too many off meals, desserts, etc. I don't want to tell myself I have to be soooo strict, but I need to buckle down. If I tell myself "you will never eat fried foods or subway again", then I'll cave and say forget it. I also (hopefully I'll get my offer package tomorrow) will be working where lunch is brought into meetings some days - that's when I'll have choices to make. For the first one, I wont "bring" anything, but when I get the routine down, I'll either bring my own bun so I can transfer ingredients or bring my own salad dressing. I'm not one to care too much what others think in terms of my eating!!

I did Burn Intervals last night, I ran out of time to do anything else. It was my son's birthday, so all sorts of bad food was consumed. What happened to my self control?????

I am slightly sore today, but I this sore. I can't believe I am starting my 3rd week of Burn tonight, time sure flies when you are having fun!

3tikes and susan ~ My diet has been my downfall as well. I just pick the wrong things to grab. More preparation is in order for those, I AM STARVING WHAT CAN I GRAB, moments.

Nikkismom ~ I do my pushups on my toes too and like you said it does help if you really tighten everything in your core (buns and abs) Maybe it just takes the focus off what I am really doing

Hey all,

Cardio day today -- I did Tae Bo Abs, my first time with this workout. Such a great abs workout! 20 minutes of standing abs (which I LOVE!) and 10 minutes of floor abs (which I DON'T love! LOL). Also, some decent cardio in there because of all the fast twisting movements -- got my heart rate up a bit. Then, I did TJ 20 minute workout.

Cat, I'm with you -- I love the soreness! Just a little sore -- lets you know you really did something! OTOH, I'm hating the days when my biceps or shoulders are so whipped that I'm having trouble with grocery shopping or whatever.

Foodwise, I'm eating protein, protein, protein! And, lots of good fats. I keep my carbs down near or below 20, and my protein over 100 (even more on my weights days) and so far I'm not tempted to go off-plan, and I have plenty of energy to do the workouts. As long as I have strips of grilled rib-eye, or grilled marinated chicken thighs, or really good chicken salad around, I'm doing OK. And, when I'm out and about, I always have food with me -- so I don't have a chance to get hungry.

Have a great day, all!
