Not all cardio -- here's some info that came from another site -- supposedly came from Chalene in a chat session:

"4 videos... a stretch that will make you sweat, a cardio intense drill interval workout that incorporates the ball and weights, an ab video using weights and the ball and a lower body video to chisel to bootay!"

I will probably cave and get them but it's not what I was hoping for when I heard about CLX Plus!

If it's single arm stuff, I use dumbbells. I'm actually switching back to dumbbells for the bent over/reverse grip rows to try to get more squeeze from the shoulder blades. I couldn't squeeze enough with the bar. It sucks though because my grip is so weak

I haven't tried shoulder presses with the bb yet - that's a good idea.

Tomorrow is official stats and pics. I am extremely pleased with my results and would recommend it to anyone. She promises you muscles and she delivers.

3Tikes - I would not abandon my CLX girls I will pop in and cheer you guys on while I cry about P90X

Porkfat - I have been keeping up on the new CLX (Chalene's Facebook page) and it sounds like a new program. It might still be an add on but it seems like it is both weights and cardio.

After we did Lean 3 tonight we decided to try Ab Ripper X instead of Extreme Abs....OMG!!

I am wondering if Tony is really human.......

After reading all these great posts and how much you love these workouts, I finally ordered my Chalean Extreme and I should have it next week! I love Chalene and have done Turbo Jam for about 2 years. I am really looking forward to toning up and getting some definition for summer. I know this has probably been asked, but does anyone do extra ab work or cardio? or is there enough in the different phases?

Cat - the only extra I do is on one of the off days. Day 2 doesn't have any CE scheduled, so I do some cardio. And I recently started doing a completely different ab workout because I don't care for floor exercises. But I don't do more cardio after the circuits - I know a lot of people who do though. I think it's just a personal preference.

Welcome, Cat!

The program is designed to be done just as is, so you should feel free to just do the five days/week as it's laid out. That said, a lot of people add extra cardio (and, I believe that the test group for the program did cardio 5-6 days/week). And, a lot of people add extra ab work, since once a week seems like not enough. But, it's really an individual choice, depending on your schedule and goals.

LongIslandGirl - Yes, my clothes fit better and I am now almost a solid 8 from a solid 10. All that really means is that my size 8's fit better than the 10's do now. I even squeezed into a size 6 a few weeks ago, still have a little ways to go on that one I am sure Tony will help me out on that one.

I can assure all of you ladies that I did not bulk up doing this program.

Thanks for the info gals, I am so excited to get going. If I feel like I need extra abs I will probably do this little 20 minute Cindy Whitmarsh routine called Incredible Abs. I love the results and it is quick and I can do it in the morning with no problems. If I need more cardio, either Cardio Party 1 or 2.

longislandgirl - I ordered mine off of e-bay. it was 119 with free shipping.

NikisMom - I am more worried about shape then weight. I am a shorty so any ounce shows on me. I just can't wait for those arms!!!

Does anyone know if Toni (the one with 7 kids) had a tummy tuck? I can't imagine getting that body naturally after having twins then quads.

Cat- I think that is the same price that it is before shipping. So you did save some. I am worried about ordering from ebay, but I think I am going to. There is one that is being sold now but it doenst havea fat tester, but do I really need that? I would order it from somewhere else maybe if I need it.

Nikismom ~ I am going to take my before and after pics, and would be interested in seeing your results, if you wouldn't mind. I think that I will have one of my kids take my before and after pictures, minus my head, and then I will post them once I am done. Or I will take them in a mirror where the camera is in front of my face so you can't tell its me. I am just not that brave.

Longislandgirl ~ I saved on shipping and if it didn't have the fat tester I don't care. It would end up being a salad tong anyway

LIGirl -- Babe . . . fish or cut bait here! You've been fretting about where to buy it for over a week now. Just buy it, so you can get started!!

And, I'm with Cat -- the fat calipers are useless.

Cat -- is that the video download from Exercise TV? or do you have it on a DVD? I've been checking it out -- always looking for more good ab work, which is such a weakness for me! (two c-sections -- never been the same since!)

Porkfat - I did Cindy Whitmarsh on exercise TV -on demand. She is really good too. She had some leg workouts that were killer. No bouncy, frilly crap either. If she had a set out like Chalean, I'd bite!

She has a great full body DVD -- Results in 10 Days, I think? I'll throw that into a rotation when I'm done with CLX

I also get Cindy Whitmarsh on on-demand, but you could download it from Exercise TV as well. I didn't know she had a DVD out for full-body, I would probably get that too. I like her for the straight forward approach, the ab work is tough, and her abs rock!

Did the burn it off last night, I always get a very good workout with this workout and the burn intervals so I do an extra one a week, right now I am doing the cardio 3 times a week and the weights 3 times a week. I can say that I actually look forward to my workouts since I have started with this program.

Push 3 today -- last weight workout of the Push phase for me! I'll do cardio tomorrow, then head into (cue the ominous music) the very scary Lean phase!!!
